sailing from St. Petersburg, Florida. Stops were made at Key West, Port Antonio, Jamaica, Grand Cayman Island and Cozumel. The Andersons were fortunate to meet and talk with Mel Fisher, at Key West. Mr. Fisher has recovered over S2OO million worth of sunken treasure off the coast of Florida. Articles have appeared in National Geographic and on TV specials concerning his efforts in treasure hunting.

In Jamaica the Vandalls and Joanna enjoyed touring the Blue Lagoon, a movie site and swimming in the crystal clear water. Grand Cayman is a British island and its very difficult to rest easy when the bus driver drives in the left lane. A tour of the island included a visit to a turtle farm with turtles weighing over 600 pounds. These tortoise shell turtles were an endangered spiecies prior to the establishment of these breeding
farms. Cozumel is a Mexican island and was a shopper's paradise. The highlight of the trip for the Duwelius and Andersons was a seven hour trip to sec the Mayan ruins, at lulum, Yucatan, Mexico. It was a breat-taking adventure, it included a rough water trip via a small tender. The group was lucky to be able to view Halley’s Comet from aboard ship.
