BARBARA BUNTON TO SPEAK AT WOMEN TOGETHER The Women Together meeting on Thursday, April 17, will host one of our most exciting speakers, Barb ara Bunton. Currently she is a minister of music at Maranatha Temple, in South Bend, and ministers in music and the word in this area and with the prison ministry at Westville. She has recorded several albums and has a solo tape featuring one of her own songs called “A Brand New Morning". For a thrilling morning of worshiping the Lord and learning more about Him, plan to come. Refreshments and fellowship begin at 9:00 a.m. and the meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. in the Walkerton Community Building. MOTORCYCLISTS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN ENDORSEMENT Commissioner Michael M. Packard, of the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, announced that motorcyclists wishing to obtain their motorcycle endorsements in early spring should now being the licensing process. Statewide motorcycle skills testing will begin, weather permitting, on May 3, 1986. Under current law, in order to
obtain the required endorsement, motorcyclists must: 1. Obtain the Motorcycle Learner’s Permit from a local license branch; 2. Hold the learner's permit for a minimum of thirty (30) days; 3. Pass the required motorcyle skills test; and 4. Return to the license branch to have the actual endorsement placed upon their existing licenses. While holding the Motorcycle Learner’s Permit, the motorcycle rider is restricted in operation as follows: 1. He may only operate the motorcycle during daylight hours; 2. He must wear a helmet at all times; and 3. He may carry no passengers. These restrictions apply until the actual endorsement is placed upon the license. Commissioner Packard stated, "The Bureau of Motor Vehicles is receiving numerous telephone calls requesting a specific date when skills testing will be offered. We are now making the necessary preparations to begin our fourth season of skills testing in early
