CHARLES A. BEASLEY Charles A. Beasley, 47, of 602 Jackson Street, Walkerton, passed away at 8:33 p.m., on Wednesday, April 2, in the LaPorte Hospital emergency room, after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was born on October 10, 1938, in Central City, Kentucky, and he had lived in Walkerton the last 21 years coming from Chicago, Illinois. He married Carranell Castell on December 23, 1957, in Kentucky, who survives. Surviving along with his wife is a daughter, Belinda Larimore, of Oceanside, California; two sons, James E., of North Liberty, and Steve, of San Jose, California; two grandchildren; three sisters, Anna Sue Jones, Chicago, Joyce Colmer, Lapeer, Michigan, and Barbara Dacus, Baroda; four brothers, Carl, Rockport, Bill, Chicago, Illinois, Lou T., Mounds, Minnesota, and George, Crown Point; and his father, Willie, Central City, Kentucky. Services were held at 4:00 p.m., on Saturday in the First Baptist Church, Walkerton, of which he was a member, with Rev. D. O. Van Dyne, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. He was a member of Teamsters Local 364, South Bend.
He had been employed by Hass Concrete Products the last 12 years. The Nusbaum-Eikin Funeral Home, Walkerton, was in charge of the arrangements. MRS. ILA M. LUTE Mrs. Ila May (Burch) Lute. 93, a resident of Miller's Merrv Manor, Walkerton, passed away at 2:50 a m. on Monday, April 7, at the nursing home, after an extended illness. She was born on October 3, 1892, to Stephen and Wilda (Russell) Burch, in Tyner. She was a lifetime Walkerton area resident. She was first married to Ernest B. Zahrn, on May 12, 1912, in Walkerton, who preceded her in death on July 4. 1966. She then was married to George Lute, who also preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Eudora) Stillson, Cassopolis, Michigan; two sons, Gilbert Zahrn and Gerald Zahrn, both of Walkerton; 28 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ray (Zoa) Brown, rural North Liberty; and four brothers. Eber Burch. New Carlisle, Dwight Burch, Walkerton, Lyman Burch, Florida, and Wayne Burch, Walkerton. She was preceded in death by three daughters and three brothers. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Nusbaum-Eikin Funeral Home, Walkerton, with Rev. Richard Reynolds, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Walkerton, of which she was a member, officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. She was also a member of the Lincoln Township Home Demonstration Club. CHARISH ARLYS ANDERSON Charish Arlys Anderson, 16month old daughter of Arlys Joanne and Russell Anderson, Rural Route 1, Walkerton, died on Sunday morning in her home after being caught between the bars of her crib. She was born on November 29, 1984, in South Bend. Surviving along with her parents is a sister. Shannon, at home; a brother, Rusty, at home; maternal grandparents, Arlys and John Bowers. North Judson; and paternal grandmother, Winifred Anderson, Bass Lake. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Walkerton, with Rev. D. O. Van Dyne, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Arrangements were made by the Nusbaum-Eikin Funeral Home, Walkerton. ALTA A. RENSBERGER Alta Anita Rensberger, 78, of 60918 U. S. 31 S„ South Bend, passed away on Wednesday in her home. She was born on December 9, 1907, in Teegarden and had lived in South Bend since 1944 going there from Walkerton. She married William Herbert Rensberger on March 12, 1927, in Walkerton, who preceded her in death on October 15,1972. Surviving is a daughter, Donna Koches, Marysville, Ohio; a son, Alan, South Bend; two grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, South Bend, with burial in Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. ROY P. LAFRANCIS Roy P. LaFrancis, 65, of Rural Route 5, Box 219, Meadow Lane, Koontz Lake, passed away at 12:35 a.m., on Friday, April 4, in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth. He was born on December 6, 1920, in Pembroke, Ontario and moved to Koontz Lake five years ago from Chicago, Illinois. Surviving are two sons, Roger, of Iron River, Michigan, and Howard, of Michigan; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Charles, of Oak Lawn, Illinois, and Harold, of Koontz Lake; and his mother, Catherine LaFrancis, of

The Singing Loves, from Akron, Indiana, will be performing at the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, on Saturday, April 19, at the 7:00 Plymouth. Services were held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, with Father Anthonyh Letko officiating. Cremation followed. ALBERT A. CHAMBERS Albert A. Chambers, 81, of Hubbard Hill Estates, Elkhart, formerly of South Bend and North Liberty, died at 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, in Regency Place Nursing Home. He was bom on August 29, 1904, in Terre Haute. He lived in the North Liberty and South Bend area since 1953 coming from Fort Wayne. He married Mary Lucille Jay on July 24, 1937, who preceded him in death on October 3, 1984. He was a retired dental equipment salesman. Surviving are six daughters. Virginia Cook and Susan Myers, both of Terre Haute, Katherine Johnson, Fort Myers, Florida, Ann Derucki, Edwardsburg, Michigan, Helen Johnston, Mishawaka, and Sara Jones, North Liberty; 23 grandchildren; eight great-grand-children; five sisters, Ethel Landers. East Alton, Illinois, Eva Watkins, California, Hazel Houglan, Dover, Ohio, June Kidwell, Indianapolis, and Ruth Marriman, Fort Wayne; and a brother, Charles R. Chambers, Fort Wayne. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday in the North Liberty Church of Christ, of which he was a member, with Rev. Charles Richmond officiating. Burial was in Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. The Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of St; Joseph County. FLORENCE L. PHILLIPS Services for Florence L. Phillips, 68, of 2614 Pleasant Street, South Bend, who died at 6:40 p.m. Saturday in her home after an illness, were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Bubb Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Mrs. Phillips was bom on July 16,1917, in North Liberty and lived in the area all of her life. As Florence Cripe she married Harley E. Phillips, on January 14, 1935, in Plymouth. He survives, along with a daughter, Barbara Graves,

Lowry, 85, formerly of Rural Route 4, Walkerton, and a resident of Miller's Merry Manor. Walkerton, passed away at 4:07 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, in the LaPorte Hospital after an extended illness. She was born on January 12, 1901, in Teegarden to John E. and Ida (Plummer) Morris and was a Walkerton area resident all of her life. She married Dewey Walter Lowry on March 16, 1919, in Walkerton, who preceded her in death on March 10. 1966. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (June) Kulczar, South Bend; two sons. Joseph L. Lowry and Walter N. Lowry, both of Walkerton; 17 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Two sons, one daughter and two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the NusbaumEikin Funeral Home, Walkerton, with Rev. Richard Reynolds, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Walkerton, officiating.
