NATIONAL POISON PREVENTION WEEK MARCH 16 - 22 I 17,3KMMES M ' - • ■' . w
This week, March 16 - 22, marks the 25th observance of National Poison Prevention Week. On Monday, March 17, "Mr. Yuk" (Don Eberly) and "a pharmacist" (Dave Craft) visited grades K-3 at North Liberty Elementary School to stress the importance of poison prevention. The children helped Mr. Yuk and the pharmacist distinguish between edible products and poisons. Mr. Craft then explained how poisonous products should be safely stored out of the reach of children. The North Liberty P.T.A. and Craft's Liberty Drugs sponsored this educational event and encourage people to make sure poisons are safely stored in their homes to prevent accidental poisonings. The theme of this year’s Poison Prevention Week is "25 Years of Poison Prevention — And Still Lots To Do". ON DEAN’S LIST Cathy L. Schmeltz, duaghter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Schmeltz.
