HOPE CIRCLE MEETS The Hope Circle of the Walkerton United Methodist Church met in the home of Mrs. John Northam, on Monday, March 10. Refreshments were served by the hostess. Mrs. Leigh Hahn gave the opening prayer. The business meeting was conducted by Mrs. John Wathen. Two guests, Mrs. Charles Hostetler and Mrs. Dorothy Hostetler, were welcomed. Eight cards were sent to shut-ins. The group will purchase the book, “Caring Enough To Forgive” for the reading program. Dates to remember include the Easter bake sale to be held at Jacob Drug Store, March 29; Quiet Day program on March 20 at the Fellowship Hall, at 6:30 p.m., with Mrs. Walter Smith being in charge.

Reservations are to be in by April 9 for those wanting to go to the Day of Inspiration, at Ancilla College, Donaldson. Devotions were given by Mrs. Northam. We are in our spring cleaning time where we throw away and clean up; we should also do this with our souls and inter feelings, throw away those hate feelings and hurts, etc. The lesson was given by Mrs. Hahn using the theme, “The Good News, Christ Is Risen.” The next meeting will be on April 14, at the home of Mrs. Wathen. ON HONOR ROLL Michael Robert Corey, of Hammond, has qualified for the honor roll at the University of Dallas, for academic achievement during the 1985-86 fall semester. The honor is given to students completing 14 or more credit hours with a grade point average between 3.0 and 3.49 on a 4.0 scale. Michael is the son of Mrs. Barbara Corey, Hammond, and the grandson of Mrs. Ethel Reids, Walkerton. The skin on your body least sensitive to pein is that on your heel.
