HONORED AT BANQUET Doris Fuentes, Walkerton, an employee of Ist Source Bank, Walkerton Branch, was a candidate for the 1985 Teller of the Year at the bank. The winner was Jennifer Przybylski, South Bend, who is employed at the South Bend Main Office. The award was presented at the 10th annual Teller Appreciation Dinner recently. The Branch Teller Courtesy Awards were presented to recognize the top branches that have displayed the highest level of customer service and the winners were New Carlisle, Walkerton and Portage. LINCOLN TOWNSHIP HOMEMAKERS MEET The Lincoln Township Homemakers Extension Club met on Tuesday, March 4, at the Community Building, at 1:30 p.m. with 14 members and two guests answering roll call. The meeting opened with the salute to the flag and the repeating of the club creed. The minutes and treasurer’s reports were given and approved. Helen Pogodzinski led the song of the month, “When I Grow Too Old To Dream”, and we also sang “America”. The birthday song was sung for two members and Lois Sherland was at the piano. Regina Wells gave us some

material on cultural arts. Refreshments were seved by Mrs. Wells and Mrs. Pogodzinski and bingo followed with everyone winning a price or more. April is our guest month with Ethel Fields, Mary Jane Beaty and Alta Williams hostesses for the pot luck dinner at 12:00 noon. Bring your own table service and also for your guest. The meeting will be on April 2. HOLD SAFETY PROGRAM The Walkerton Elementary P.T.A. is sponsoring a “Safety Month” for the month of March at our school. The P.T.A. sponsored a program on seat belt safety for the students on Friday, March 7.

At the seat belt program officer Mark Gross of the Indiana State Police, Bremen Post, presented the interesting program. He showed a film and also answered questions from many of the students. The P.T.A. is encouraging all students to learn safety this month and to remember safety always.
