SENIOR CITIZEN BOWLING NEWS The Senior Bowlers were making the pins really fly this past week! Many fine spare “pick ups" were made and there was a contest in both the ladies and gents groups. Among the 11 lady bowlers. Lorraine Posniak rolled a 151. Helen Bowman a 156 and Josephine Nowakowski a 158 for high scratch game. Helen Bowman’s 210 handicap game was topped by Josephine Nowakowski's 229 for high handicap game honors. The high series total was accumulated by Doris Crane with 406, followed by Lorranine Pozniak’s 401. Quite some competition, ladies! Unlike last week, the senior gents did some fine bowling this week. Paul Dampts, our Octigenarian Plus, rolled a 198 scratch game, topped by Harold Schweder’s 203 and Marion Anderson's 214 high scratch game. High handicap game went to Marion Anderson with a 240, followed by Paul Dampts’ 236 and Harold Schweder's 224 handicap games. There were three series of 500 plus rolled, with Frank Pozniak’s 523, Paul Dampts’ 543 and Harold Schweder’ssßl. Harold had a "dutch 200 game". This is a strike-spare series for the entire game. The high series was rolled by Marion Anderson, with a fine 619 total! That is the first above 600 series rolled by anyone this season. Nice bowling, Andy, especially for a senior bowler! Come join the excitement, fun and exercise with the Senior Bowlers each Wednesday afternoon at the Walkerton Lanes at 2:00 p.m. E.S.T.
