112 and 119 weight classes in what they knew would be tough matches, but felt they could win, according to coach Bailey. They had to settle for second place in both of these weight classes, losing to two excellent wrestlers. Bill Lile and Frank Gartland. Kevin Cordell, at 155 pounds, wasn’t able to practice for two weeks because of an injury, but without daily work on the mat conditioning, an all important factor, he still placed second in his class. His brother, Keith Cordell, a senior, won the sectional heavyweight championship. He will go to the regionals with a 16-1 record. Coach Bailey said. "I'm very proud of this team. They have fought and worked hard from the first day of practice. They didn't look very good at the beginning. We set our goal, with determination. they went after it." sectional play, which begins for them this Thursday evening. The loss dropped Glenn's record to 5-10 for the season. St. Joe led all the wav after taking the early lead, but never were able to run away from Glenn. In a game that found only 24 fouls, 12 on each team being whistled, it was a case of both teams shooting well and most of the action came from the floor, not the free throw line. The Indians jumped to a 16-9 first quarter lead as Treva Callignon hit eight points and Melissaz Standley six to spearhead their early attack. Tammy Rupel had five and Theresa Northam four in this quarter for the Falcons. The two team basically matched each other the rest of the way, St. Joe never able to really extend the lead and Glenn never folding under the pressure. It was 28-21 at halftime. In reaching the nine point margin of victory, the Indians were led by Standley with 22 points on nine baskets and four of five from the charity line. Cailignon and Mimi Froester had 12 and 11 respectively for the winners. Glenn was led by Northam's 14, all from the floor, while Angie McKesson had 12 and Rupel 11 in the losing cause. The Indians shot 22 of 45 for 48.8 percent while Glenn had 20 of 43 for 46.5, one of the best shooting nights of the year. St. Joe hit 10 out of 12 from the line while Glenn
