It
was the fifth win in 10 games for the Falcons and one that, after a rather slow start, they never were seriously threatened by the Redskins. This was a Northern State Conference game and pulled Glenn to a 3-1 conference mark for the year. Troy Skiles was again the big offensive gun, getting the Falcons off to a 12-8 first quarter lead with an eight point quarter. However, in the second period, as the Falcons pulled steadily away, Brian Ruff tossed in 10 points as the Falcons outscored the Redskins 22-11 to take a convincing 34-19 halftime lead. The laugher continued the entire second half and allowed coach Gordon Mosson the privilege to play a lot of boys in the game. In the third quarter alone, seven different Falcons divided the 18 points as the lead was stretched to 52-33 on the way to the 32 point margin of victory. Skiles ended the night with 22 points on eight baskets and six of six from the free throw line. The Falcons hit 18 out of 19 from the 15 foot stripe in this game. Ruff and Roger Spier each ended up in double figures with 14 and 10 respectively and a couple of boys got their first varsity points before this one was over as Mosson gave all plenty of playing time. Combs paced the Redskins with 17 and Lindstrand also hit double figures
