The North Liberty Elementary/ Middle School will be sponsoring a Science Fair during the first week of March, 1986. The fair will be open to fourth through eighth grade students. The fair is being co-sponsored by the North Liberty
P.T.A., Craft's Liberty Drugs and several other local organizations. Mr. Fred Henderson, science teacher at the school, indicates that the projects will be categorized into four major divisions: Earth/Space Sciences. Life Sciences, Physical Sciences and Mathematics/Computer Sciences. Parents are encouraged to urge participation of their children in this rewarding and informative experience. The deadline for entries will be soon after return from Christmas break. All students who enter the fair, according to Mr. Craft, will be award prizes, and category w inners will have the opportunity to advance to regional competition. SENIOR CITIZEN BOWLING NEWS The Senior Bowlers enjoyed a fine afternoon of bowling, friendship and “good things to eat” this past Wednesday. Ruby’s “goodies” buffet enhanced the festive mood of the group. Thanks much. Ruby! You certainly kicked off the holidays in fine style. With 16 ladies competing. Norine Divine came up with a 162 high scratch game, followed by Lou Dipert’s 158. Norine also rolled the high handicap game of 224. Lou took the high series with a 429 total. There were three other about 400 series totaled by the ladies. The 16 gents competing were again treated to a fine exhibition of bowling skill by our octegenarian. Paul Dampts. His 219 high scratch game was a beauty. Frank Posniak came in with a very respectible 193 game. Paul also took the high handicap game honors with a 256 total. Harold Schweder's 498 high series just slipped past Paul's 494, to prevent Paul’s clean sweep. What a year Paul is having, keep it up all through 'B6. Paul! Remember, seniors, we want to sec all of you out next year, starting on Wednesday. The Multiple Sclerosis Support Group meets in cooperation with the Division of Integral Medicine of St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Additional information may be obtained by calling 237-7773 afternoons, Monday through Friday. Some weightlifters take as many as 250 vitamin tablets a day.
