Lady Falcons Lose 51-42 To South Central The John Glenn girls basketball team dropped their fourth game in six decisions this season as they fell to South Central in a game played at Glenn. The Lady Falcons onlyhad three girls score in this game and shot a very cool 16 of 64 for only 25 percent, while their guests were scorching the nets for 19 out of 40 for a 47.5 percent. The 51-42 defeat came mostly on a strong second half by the visitors. Theresa Northam was again the
big offensive gun for Glenn and she carried them in the first half with four baskets in each quarter for a 16 point first half output. The score was tied at 12 all after one. and the Satellites led by a single point 24-23, at halftime. South Central had six girls sharing their 24 points. In the second half balance was still the key. Five shared the 15 points South Central gathered in the third quarter to pull ahead 39-33 after three. It was then too much lead for Glenn to overcome as only Northam, Jennifer Price and Angie McKesson could score for Glenn. Northam ended with another fine offensive performance with a 25 point total on 11 baskets and three of six from the line. McKesson added nine points, seven rebounds and nine assists, while Price had eight points and 10 rebounds. Osborn pulled down six rebounds also for Glenn. South Central was led by Beth Weaver and Shilo Carson with 16 and 14 respectively, but had six others chip in with points in the well balanced attack. Their record moved to 3-6 with the win.
