Thanksgiving dinner was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Trinkaus, Glenview, with all the family present. Mrs. Marge Morrey and the Raymond Thompson family, Koontz Lake, along with Mrs. Evelyn Gumbert and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Jones and family, Valparaiso, were Thanksgiving Day guests of Marge Youngman and family, in Mishawaka. Mrs. Morrey stayed on for a few days visit following the holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Clell Fouts, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Kelly and family, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Snyder, of LaPaz, and Mr. and Mrs. Don McCan and family, of Plymouth, were Thanksgiving Day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roger McCan and family, in Plymouth. Saturday evening a birthday dinner was given for Mr. Joe Lowry at the Holiday Inn, at Plymouth, with ten guests present. Ethel Fields were J. R. Fields and family, of Mishawaka, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Northam and family, Walkerton, Mr. Roger Whittaker, Crown Point, and Barbara Corey, Hammond. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pogodzinski, Mrs. Claude Grenert and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bergland were among a bus load of farmers that attended the State Farm Bureau Convention held in Indianapolis Sunday and Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hansen, of Country Club Hills, Illinois, spent from Friday until Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Agnew Ludwig. On Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lowry were hosts for the Lowry family Christmas dinner with 32 present. Visiting in the John Cowger home for Thanksgiving week were Dr. and Mrs. David Cowger and sons, of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kamykowski and son, of Centerport, New York, Mr. and Mrs. John Cowger, Jr. and sons of Chesterton, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Cowger and family, Walkerton, and Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Cowger, of Indianapolis. A niece, Lois Duttlinger also visited on Thanksgiving Day.
