NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS Notice is hereby given the taxpayers of Walkerton, Indiana in St. Joseph County, that the proper legal officers of said Town at their regular meeting place at 510 Roosevelt Road. Walkerton, Indiana at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th day of December, 1985, will consider the following additional appropriations which are considered to be necessary to meet the extraordinary emergency at this time. Cumulative Building And Sinking Capital Expenses $84,000.00 Local Road And Street Capital Expenses 10.000.00 Motor Vehicle Highway Supplies and Expenses $2,000.00 Taxpayers appearing at such meeting shall have a right to be heard thereon. The additional appropriations as finally made will be automatically referred to the State Board of Tax Commissioners, which Board will hold a further hearing within fifteen days at the County Auditor's Office of St. Joseph County. ANDREW JAY “A.J.” DANIELS Andrew Jay "A. J.” Daniels, 87, of Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton, formerly of Rural Rout 1, Box 121, Walkerton, passed away at 1:25 a.m. on Friday, November 29, in the nursing home after an illness. He was born on March 1, 1898, in White Creek, New York,

and had lived in Walkerton, leaving South Bend in 1946. On November 3, 1920, in Hartford, Connecticut, he married the former Celia Boughton, who preceded him in death on April 13, 1957. He married Bessie Watson, who also preceded him in death, and he then married Mabel Irene Whitaker Fair on June 16, 1970. who died on July 30 1974. He was a retired farmer and had retired from the Studebaker Corp, after 40 years. Surviving are two daughters. Winifred Faber, of Stuart, Florida, and Ruth Murphy, of Mishawaka; a son, Fred J., of Walkerton; two stepdaughters, Laura Pineau and Evelyn Peterson, both of Bennington, Vermont; II grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday in the United Methodist Church, Walkerton, of which he was a member, with Rev. Thomas Bowman, pastor, officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. He was aSO year member and past master of Walkerton Masonic Lodge 619 F & AM, a member of the South Bend Valley of Scottish Rite, Orak
Shrine. Michigan City, and a member and past patron of the Walkerton Chapter 319 Order of Eastern Star. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund.
