Lincoln Township Home Demonstration Club, St. Patrick’s Women’s Club and Father Letko, the ladies of the United Methodist Church, the Walkerton Woman’s Community Club, my neighbors, my Walkerton and Koontz Lake friends and my relatives for all the flowers, cards, visits and calls both while 1 was in the LaPorte Hospital and now since 1 have been in the Fountainview Terrace Nursing Home, in LaPorte. Michael Jon Turner was born on October 20, to Terry and Nancy Turner, Duluth, Georgia, in Shallowford Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia. He weighed in at six pounds and seven and a half ounces. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Silwa, Michigan City, and paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Turner, Walkerton. Paternal great-grandfather is Mr. Lawrence Turner, Goodland, Indiana. SENIOR CITIZEN BOWLING NEWS The Senior Bowlers enjoyed another afternoon of good sport and fun, with four spectators supporting their efforts. The gents really had a fine afternoon with 13 bowlers present. High handicap game was rolled by Bob Spillman with a fine 251. Harold Schweder’s 224 was the high scratch game for the day. Harold also had the high series with 591 for total pins. There were four other gents with 500 series. Eli Sobat totaled 501, Stan Labno a 504, Bub Weinman a 509 and Mel Divine a 538. A fine effort by all! With 13 ladies competing, Ann Labno took all honors with her "corrected" scores. She rolled the high scratch game of 178, high handicap game of 238 and high series of 445.
