Mr. and Mrs. Cedric Claud, of Chesterfield, Virginia, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Capek, Jr., for a couple of days this week. Mrs. Viola Barden and Mrs. Goldie Skinner were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Leßoy, in LaGrange, Illinois. While they were there other points of interest were taken in including the Brookfield Zoo and a trip to downtown Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Claude Nowakowski will serve as hosts for the Saturday evening dinner meeting of the Koontz Lake Conservation Club at the club house. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson and Joanna one evening last week were Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Price, of Lost Creek, Kentucky: Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Duwelius and Marie Anderson, of Walkerton. Mrs. Ralph Dixon and granddaughter, Miss Tonya Bella, spent I the week of August 10 on a tour to Florida. While there they stayed at Travelodge East, Kissimmee, Florida. Their tour included trips to Disney World, Epcot Center and Sea World. They had dinner one evening at Medieval Times dinner tournament which was very interesting and exciting. Their last day in Florida prior to flying home was spent at Cape Kennedy. They enjoyed all the tours and especially liked Epcot and the Space Center. They met many very nice people from different parts of the country but were glad to be back in Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn spent the weekend camping at New Paris with five other couples from the area. Mr. and Mrs. Leßoy Haertel, of Greenwood, Nebraska, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Klinedinst. Mr. and Mrs. James Craig and also spent some time at Bonners, ot Frankenmuth and viewed the lovely Christmas displays. The Haertels and Craigs are Mesa, Arizona visitors in the winter. Mrs. Lucille Dickson, Koontz Lake, had eye lid surgery last Friday at the LaPorte Hospital. Her daughter-in-law, Mrs. William Dickson, of Glenview, Illinois, was with her for a couple of days. DIPERT FAMILY REUNION The Grovertown Dipert family reunion was held on Sunday, August 18, at the Koontz Lake Conservation Club with 37 attending coming from Indiana, Dlinois, Kentucky, Wisconsin and California.
