church was decorated with ferns; white, burgundy and pink altar bouquets; flower baskets and centerpieces of white and burgundy roses with tapers. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Davis, Route 4, Walkerton. She is a graduate of John Glenn High School, attended Indiana Central University and is attending the University of Illinois where she is majoring in painting

and drawing. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Frederic Mullett. Hanover and Spruce Trail, Plymouth. He is a graduate of Southwestern High School and the University of the South and is attending the University of Illinois as a graduate student majoring in clinical psychology and is employed by Cunningham Children's Home. Urbana, Illinois. The bride chose a white satin gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, short puffed sleeves and a baskque bodice outlined with Venice lace and seed pearls over English net. The full satin skirt featured a petal train etched with Venice lace with a cathedral veil and blusher were attached to a crown of crystal and pearls. Placed in the bridal bouquet of lily of the valley and burgundy roses was a silk handkerchief borrowed from Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bollhoefre representing “something old. borrowed and blue". Lillian Friman was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Lisa and Susan Blaisdell, wearing burgundy satin tea length gowns. Junior bridesmaids were Carrie Evans and Kathy Blaisdell, wearing lace trimmed pink satin gowns. All wore matching gloves, flower hairpieces and carried single burgundy roses with pink streamers. Keith Mullet, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Freddie Pegues and Roy Evans, Jr., brother-in-law. Ushers were Gene Harker and Todd Davis, brother of the bride and ringbearer was Brian Adams. The bride’s mother wore a claret, matching shoes and gloves and the groom's mother wore a dusty rose dress with matching shoes and gloves. The reception was held in the church Fellowship Hall. The bride and groom honored the groom's parents with a toast to commemorate their wedding anniversary of the same date and presented them with silver toasting goblets. The hall was decorated in the bride’s chosen colors of pink and burgundy. A wedding trip to the New England states was taken with the couple now at home in Champaign, Illinois. Out of town guests came from Hanover, Seymour, Indiana Central University, Waukegan, Illinois, University of Illinois and Symma, Delaware. News from whispering PINES GOLF COURSE The Ladies play of the week was throw out the three worst holes, first place was Terri Schmeltz with a net of 9. First and second low gross were Barbara Lenczowski 44 and Wanita Manuel 49. Terri Schmeltz with 31 and Marsha Gosch with 33 were low net winners. Lynn Tobolski, Barbara and Joyce Lenczowski. Wanita Manuel. Evie Higgonbotham, Betty Chapman. Barbara Stickler and Dee Allen all played in the 'Elbel Over The Rainbow Invitational’ on Tuesday. Lynn Tobolski was on a team that came in for second place. The Ladies chose Saturday, September 21 for the fall outing. It will start with eighteen holes of golf, followed with a steak cookout and awards for the year. All girls should plan to attend. Rick Sprunger had a 42 for low gross in the Friday Night League. Jack Lawhorn had low net 35. Closest to the flag stick on number 3 was Damon Nichols and on number 5 was Jim Ballinger. Low team with even par was Rick Sprunger, Frank Adkins.
