CECIL A. WEBER Cecil A. Weber, 71. 10b N. Jefferson St.. North Liberts, passed away at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. October 13. m St. Joseph Medical Center. South Bend. He was born on January 20. 1913. at Burr Oak and lived most of his life in the North Liberty area. He married Marjorie June Bare, on August 8. 1936. who survives. Surviving along with his wife are a daughter. Mrs. Du Wayne (Becky) Burch. North Liberty; a son. Bruce 0. Weber, North Liberty; three grandchildren; and a sister. Mrs. Clarice Bulla. Montpelier. Ohio. He was a member of the North Liberty United Methodist Church, the North Liberty Masonic Lodge 266 F & AM. the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. South Bend; North Liberty Chapter 290 of the Order of the Eastern Star, the North Liberty Cemetery Association and he was a former officer of the Sibley Credit Union and a past DeMolay Dad, at North Liberty. He retired from Sibley’s Foundry after 34 years of service. Services were held at 11:00 a m. on Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, North Liberty, with Dr. Gaylord Saltzgaber. pastor, officiating. Burial was in Eastlawn Cemetery. North Liberty. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. EMMA L. FULLER Emma L. Fuller. 55. Walkerton, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, in the LaPorte Hospital as a result of a brief illness. She was born on November 21, 1928. in Sheridan. Kentucky, to Robert and Lucille (Love) Stalion. She had lived here for 10 years coming from Donaldson. She was an Avon representative for the Walkerton area. She married Ernest Fuller, in Hamlet, who survives. Surviving along with her husband are three daughters. Miss Lisa Fuller and Miss Edie Fuller, both at home, and Mrs. Kenneth (Sharon) Jonas, Hanna; two sons, Dwight and Robert Boswell, both of Michigan City; three step-daugh-ters, Mrs. Clyde (Peggy) Ronco, Valparaiso, Mrs. Deborah Fuller, Wanatah, and Mrs. Ed (Pamela) Baker, Burket; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Paris. Marion. Kentucky, and Robbie Hardin.

Walkerton, was in charge of the arrangements. She was a member of the Westville Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. ROBERT J. MESSICK Robert J. Messick. 70. of 1342 E. Indiana 4, LaPorte, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, at 1:48 p.m., in the LaPorte Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born on August 18, 1914, in Freedom, to Israel Light and Elizabeth (Neff) Messick and had lived there since 1946, coming from Spencer. On December 14. 1946, he married Margaret Baxter, in Indianapolis, who survives. Surviving along with his wife are a daughter. Mrs. Peter (Janet) Ulrich. LaPorte; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Charles Cripe, Walkerton. Services were held at the Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with Rev. Robert Taylor and Rev. B. Lindford Eyrick, officiating. Burial was in the Salem Cemetery with military rites by the Fish Lake American Legion Post. LUCILLE TENER Lucille Tener, 73. of Rural Route 2, Walkerton, passed away on Monday, October 15, in the LaPorte Hospital at 2:15 p.m. She was born on May 20. 1911, in Marshall County to Walter and Ruth (Burton) Inks and had lived in St. Joseph County for 40 years coming from Marshall County. She married Samuel L. Tener, in Winamac, and he preceded her in death on July 26. 1969. Surviving are three step-daugh-ters, Mrs. Loie Bonifacious, Walkerton, Mrs. Fay Young, Columbia City, and Mrs. May Mann, Syracuse; four step-sons, Lewis, Fish Lake, Donald, South Bend. Lamar, Newaygo, Michigan, and Ervin, Plymouth; and several grandchildren. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Ronald Davenport, officiating.
Burial was in Salem Cemetery. CLAUDE L. GORBY, SR. Claude Lawrence Gorby, Sr., 78, of 701 S. State Street, North Liberty. passed away at 11:55 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, in the LaPorte Hospital. He was born on November 11. 1905, in Coalmont. Indiana. He lived in North Liberty for 43 years coming from South Bend. He married the former Aunes Whitmer on June 12, 1944, in LaPorte. who survives. He was retired from Oliver Corp, in 1967 after 38 years of service. Surviving along with his wife are two daughters. Karen Peterson, of North Liberty, and Phyllis Scarbrough. of South Bend; two sons. Claude L., Jr., and Jerry, both of North Liberty; eight grandchildren and a sister. Bess Plummer, of Indianapolis. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in the Church of the Brethren. North Liberty, with Rev. Larry Dentler, officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. The A. M. Manuel Funeral Home. North Liberty, was in charge of arrangements. He was a member of the church, and the South Bend Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 435. NETTIE C. ALWARD Nettie C. Alward. 62, of 301 W. Market Street, North Liberty, passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. October 9, in Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 18, 1921, in Salyersville. Kentucky, and had lived in the North Liberty area for 40 years. As Nellie Prater she married Robert C. Alward on October 11. 1946, who preceded her in death on January 20. 1964. Surviving are two daughters. Carolyn Sue Salyer, of North Liberty. and Penny Lue Kinley, of Paradise, California; two sons. Larry Charles and Robert D., Alward, both of South Bend; eight grandchildren; six sisters, Neil Patrick, of Walkerton, Lilly Goetz and Jewel Chapman, both of Owensboro, Kentucky; Velma Pruden, of Rockport, Venus Inghram, of Shelby, Ohio, and Virginia King, of Livia, Kentucky; and two brothers. James Prater, of Salyersville, Kentucky, and Winfrey Prater, of Newark, Ohio. Services were held at 1:00 p.m. at the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, on Friday and burial was in Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. She was an assemblerat Wells Aluminum, North Liberty, and a member of the North Liberty Chapter 290 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Memorials may be made to the United Cancer Society, 711 E. Colfax Ave., South Bend. CLARENCE R. KASER Clarence R. Kaser, 59, of 222 W. South Street, LaPaz, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after an illness. He was born on August 3, 1925, in LaPaz and was a lifelong area resident. He married Dorothy Cole, in Walkerton, on September 27, 1952, who survives. Surviving along with his wife are four daughters, Judy Lancaster, Sandra Pollock and Betty Kaser, all of LaPaz. and Carol Groves, of Walkerton; a son, Ronald Kaser, of LaPaz; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Bertha Wallskog, Plymouth, Ida Wingett, LaPaz. Ruth Parks and Ruby Bope, both of Bremen; and a brother, Glenn, of LaPaz. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Plymouth, with burial in Fair Cemetery, LaPaz. ROY NEWELL Roy Newell. 93, a resident of Miller’s Merry Manor. Walkerton, formerly of Koontz Lake, passed away at 3:10 a.m. on Friday. October 12, at Miller's Merry Manor. He was bom on April 18, 1891, m Scranton. Pennsylvania,
and had lived in this area for 22 years coming from Chicago, Illinois. He was a retired salesman for Ideal Roller Company, of Chicago. He married Caroline Milberger on September 28. 1915. at Scranton. Pennsylvania, who preceded him in death on April 4. 1980. He is survived by a niece and two nephews. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodges of Chicago and Walkerton. Memorial services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at Rannells Funeral Home. Koontz Lake Chapel, with Rev. Lloyd George, officiating. Cremation was scheduled. HAZEL HAY Hazel. Hay. 68. 31380 State Road 4, North Liberty, passed away at 11:30 p.m., on Monday, October 15, in the LaPorte Hospital. She was born on August 28. 1916, in Chicago. She lived in North Liberty for the past 55 years. She married Cecil A. Hay on November 16. 1934, in North Liberty, who survives. She was formerly employed with Wilcox Supermarket,
