Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Frazier and son, Ray Scott, camped the last two weeks in West Lafayette and visited with Ramona, who is a freshman at Purdue University. Mr. and Mrs. John Markle, North Liberty, spent a week sightseeing on the east coast. Mr. and Mrs. Kriss High have moved to North Liberty. They have purchased the Ray E. Barb Frazier’s home on Center Street. The Highs and Mr. and Mrs. John (Terri) Flanagan, and Ray Scott Frazier, were in West Lafayette last Sunday to help Ramona Frazier celebrate her 18th birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Walz entertained with dinner on Tuesday evening of last week for Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stillson and son, Dennis, of Cassopolis, Michigan, and Mr. and Mrs. Wade Stillson, of Clearwater, Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bierly and family, of Troy, Michigan, were weekend guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Bierly. A party was given on Saturday, October 6, for George Pfeiffer’s 89th birthday at the home of his daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Jerome, in Griffith. Mr. and Mrs.

William Clark and Mrs. Vee Shogren, of Koontz Lake, were present. There were approximately 45 relatives and friends on hand to help him celebrate the occasion. A huge sign was posted on the house to welcome him and the sign read Happy 89th Papa George. A huge buffet dinner was served with a giant size birthday cake. This was a day George will long remember. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Thornburg will serve as hosts for the Koontz Lake Conservation Gub dinner on Saturday evening at the club house. On Tuesday of last week Miss Ethel Bierly and three of her college friends, Mrs. Lowry, of Winamac, Mrs. Shutter, of North Judson, and Mildred Dively gathered for the day. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Klinedinst and Mr. and Mrs. Orville Klinedinst motored to Butler University, Indianapolis, on Thursday evening to attend a concert of the University Symphony, of which Mike Klinedinst is a member. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Patterson attended the Patterson family reunion, held at Lafayette, over the weekend, at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Reigs. Friday guests of Mrs. Esther Kaufman were Mrs. Rachel Barthel, of LaPorte, and Miss Mary and Jill Epperson, of Lake Station. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Gerber were Sunday, September 30th dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bryon Gerhart and Laden and Jeremy. It was Laden’s sixth birthday celebration. DINNER HONORS GOLFERS The Swan Lake Senior Men's Golf League that meets on Thursday ended their season with a dinner at the Marshall Inn, Plymouth. The wives were invited and a good time was had by all. Prizes went to Stanley Gryb, Wayne Burch. Bud Weinman and Paul Kjelstrom. The president of the league, Stanley Gryb, would like to thank the committee and all the golfers. A special thank you to Lynette Swanson for the prizes. We need more golfers for the 1985 season.
