Jill Richmond, of the North Liberty Church of Christ, North Libertv, Indiana, won second place in the category of piano solo in the annual Talent Rally held on the campus of Lincoln Christian College. Lincoln. Illinois on August 20-22. The Talent Rally, now in its 25th year, attracts high school age students representing some 50 churches from the midwestern states. Jill is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Richmond, of North Liberty. Mrs. Richmond is a piano teacher. Glenn Tope New Prairie The Glenn girls dropped the first game to New Prairie by an 11-15
score, but came back for a 15-11 and 15-8 victory to win an important conference match from the Cougars. For Glenn Theresa Northam, 12 out of 12; Julie Knowlton and Angie McKesson, 10 out of 10; and Chana Singleton. 8 out of 8. were the most accurate servers. Angie McKesson had 5 kills to lead in that category while Jennifer Price had 16 passes while Theresa Northam had a passing average of 2.08. McKesson had 39 sets as the Lady Falcons raised their season record to 5-2 and 1-0 in conference play while New Prairie slipped to 3-2 for the year and 1-1 in NSC action. The Cougars B-Team topped the Glenn reserves by scores of 15-7 and 15-4. Mary Singleton had 5 out of 5 serves, 12 passes and Cindy Beghtel had the best passing average with a 2.22 rating. Glenn evened their record at 2-2 while New Prairie won their third against two losses. Argos Falls To Glenn On Wednesday night, Glenn visited Argos and came home with a victory by scores of 15-5 and 15-1. Julie Knowlton, Angie McKesson, Mindy Salver, Angie Albert sen and Lisa Parker all had perfect serving percentages. Albertsen had 12 kills; McKesson 22 sets and Albertsen 7 passes to pace the various categories. The Glenn Bees also won by scores of 15-8 and 15-5. Tammy Rupel and Tammy Osborn had 8 and 7 serves for a perfect percentage while Lori Cooper had two kills. Bremen Wins Again On Monday night Bremen won for the second time over Glenn this year and second in 10 days. The scores were 4-15, 15-4 and 15-8. For Glenn Lisa Parker had 14 out of 14 and Julie Knowlton 11 out of 11 serves. Angie Albertsen had 5 kills, Julie Knowlton 20 passes, Kelly Howell a 2.75 passing rating while Angie McKesson had 25 sets. The loss was Glenn’s third in nine outings while Bremen increased their record to 7-1 with the victory. The Glenn B-Team won over Bremen by scores of 15-11, 9-13 and 15-11. Cindy Beghtel and 14 out of 14 and Mary Singleton 18 out of 19 serves for Glenn. Singleton also had four kills, Minday Salyer 13 passes with a 2.23 passing average. Employee of the Month awards at Miller’s Merry Manor went to Ward Straker in May, Wanda Whitaker in June and Sally Gouker for July. Mr. Straker, a part time maintenance man, has been with Miller’s for nine years. Wanda Whitaker, a four-year employee, is a cook in the dietary department. Sally Gouker is a Geriatric Aide with the nursing department and has worked with Miller’s for two-and-a-half years.

Nursing Aide of the Month Awards for May, June and Jub went to Joyce Wood. Doris Rhodes and Lori Wood. Joyce Wood has recently completed the training course as a Charge Aide and has been with Miller’s for almost three years. Doris Rhodes has been em ployed at the nursing home for two and-a-half years and is a Geriatric Aide. Lori Wood, a three-year employee, has also recently com pleted training as a Charge Aide and is currently in L.P.M. school
