two to reach pav dirt Cain then froze the defense tor a split second on an option play and then raced into the defense for a big two-point conversion This was a big plav putting the Falcons back m front by seven Once again Inton fought back, taking the ball from their own 35 after the kickoff, thev moved the b 5 sards tn 11 plays with Meister getting a big 23 yard run in the drive and Wanemacher hit Lender for two completions to pick up 23 more yards. Meister finally carried it over from one yard out to make it 14-13. Triton then went for two as they basically had nothing to lose. Cain got a hand on a Wanamacher pass and it fell to
the turf, leaving Glenn ahead bv a single point, the way the first halt ended a minute and 32 seconds later. Then the Falcons took over Not onlv did they move the ball with avengence, they also recovered the first fumble bv an opponent m three games this season to get an “instant possession" after their first score. Staring again from their own 47, Cain ripped oft 4" on the first play, making it first and goal from the 0. It took four plays however, as Triton hung tough on defense with Cam finallv forging over from three yards out Rupel then kicked his first of three extra points for a 21-13 lead. After an out-of-bounds kickoff gave Triton the ball at their own 40, on the first play a little trouble on the handoff from Wanemacher to Dan Williamson resulted in a fumble and Cain fell on the loose ball. Starting from the Tnton 46, after a five yard penalty, it was an all-on-the-ground attack that earned the 46 yards for the score. Both Cam and Rupel carried five times with a 15 yarder by Cain and a 14 yarder by Rupel as the big plays. Rupel banged it over from one yard for the score and then kicked the point after for a 28-13 lead with 3:01 left in the third period. Something different happened after this kickoff, both teams were stopped on their initial drives and forced to punt. After the exchange of punts, with play now in the final quarter, Delane Overton recovered another Triton fumble at the Trojan 33 to give Glenn great field posi-
tion lam hit for 6 and then 27 for the score to quickly open the gap to 35 13 with another Rupel kick. Much to Triton’s credit, they didn’t give up. They took possession at their ow n 34 after the kickoff and started another sustained drive that even overcame a big 15 yard clipping penalty. Meister broke open on the eighth play for 48 yards and the touchdown and he then ran the extra points in for two more points and Triton had cut the lead to 14. 35 21 with 7:11 still left. An onside kick was nicely covered bv Chuck Klockow as Triton almost retained possession on the short kick. However, the ball was placed on the Glenn 49. first and 10 for the Falcons. A nine play drive unfolded that found Cain again crossing the goal line, this time from 16 yards away for the game’s final points. Rupel’s kick was just wide, but the 41-21 margin was to stand despite an desperate late drive by a game Trojan team. They complete four passes in the last two minutes but Jim Viscik picked off the last one of the game near the goal line and ran it back 42 yards as time expired. Next week Glenn will entertain the LaVille Lancers. Their 1-2 record is a little misleading. They whipped Triton in the first game, lost to a strong Jimtown team and this past Friday gave Plymouth a good game before dropping a 20-7 desision. They feature a fine passer in Pat Adkins and have had a good program the past few years which seen them get to the semifinals two years ago before being beaten in the playoffs. The game will be at Glenn at 7:30 p.m. The Scoring
