MRS. LUCILLE GIBSON Mrs. Lucille Gibson, 96, a resident of Miller's Merry Manor, Walkerton, passed away at 9:00 a.m, on Sunday, July 1, at the nursing home following a several year illness. She was born on July 30, 1887, in Topeka, Indiana. She was a retired practical nurse. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, at the Rannells Funeral Home Hamlet Chapel. with Rev. Ernest Giant, officiating. Burial was in the Bremen Cemetery. WILDER L. BURNSIDE Wilder L. Burnside, Rural Route 1, Box 111. Walkerton, passed away at 5:40 p.m. Friday, July 6, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton. He was born on August 21, 1893, in Tyner and lived in the Walkerton and Tyner areas all his life. He married Weltha A. Phebus on December 22, 1922, in Walkerton, who survives. He was a retired farmer and stone mason. South Bend; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. He attended the Walkerton United Methodist Church, served with the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War 1 and was a charter member of the Orville Easterday American Legion* Post 189, Walkerton. He was also a member of the Marshall County Farm Bureau and the Senior Citizens group of Walkerton. WILLIAM “SARGE” WILLIS William “Sarge” Willis, 64, of Rural Route 2, Box 73, Walkerton, passed away on Saturday morning in his home. He was bom on December 16, 1919, in Garkson, Kentucky, and lived here for the past 13 years coming from Fort Ord, California. He married Marjorie G. Bradford on June 8, 1946, in Walkerton, who survives. Surviving along with his wife are two daughters, Patricia Maurer, of Columbia, Indiana, and Kathy Maurer, of Lisbon, Ohio; one grandson; and four sisters, Mrs. Raymond Lawson, of Scottsdale, Arizona, Mrs. Hale Cooper, of South Bend, and Mrs. Donald Jones and Mrs. John Evans, both of North Liberty. Two brothers preceded him in death. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Sgt. Willis was a veteran of

World War 11, Korean Conflict, and Vietnam; a member of the American Legion Post 400, Fish Lake; VFW Post 1954, North Liberty; and the DAV Chapter No. 44, Plymouth.
