J.G. THESPIANS TO PRESENT “THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN” । >MmMk ■> i^h JH UP ■ -iH i Members of the cast of the John Glenn High School Thespian production, “The Curse Os Frankenstein”, are, from left to right, seated: Wendell Rohrer, Katie Hershberger, Joni Back, Jack Godwin, Trish Carter and Mark Whitaker. Standing are: Steve Kaszas, student diretor; Janine Tuttle, Robert Rupel, Dawn Pletcher, James Godwin, Cary Zartman, Mike Sobierajski and Tim Cisney, student director.

On the evenings of April 7, 8 and 9. the members of the John Glenn High School Thespian Society will present their third production of the 1982-83 school year, a rollicking comedy entitled “The Curse Os Frankenstein”. Based loosely upon the classic novel by Marv Shelley, the play is the second original drama written by John Glenn play director, Bob Mulligan, which the talented group of young actors has presented this year. In striking contrast to the sensitive "Crossroads”, the investigation of an adolescent boy's search for his identity, presented this fall. Mulligan's new comedy is a "no-holds-barred" spoof, deriving its humor from an outrageously satirical interpretation of the wellknow talc of the obsessed scientist. Victor Frankenstein, and his monster. Appearing as the uproariously inept Victor Frankenstein, veteran John Glenn performer James Godwin is undertaking one of his most demanding and unusual characterizations. Other leading roles are being played by Dawn Pletcher, as his long-suffering but hart-hitting fiancee. Elizabeth; Robert Rupel. as his well-meaning but unintentionally "klutzy" friend. Henry Clerval; Cary Zartman in an hysterical dual role which must truly be seen to be believed; Wendell Rohrer, as Kurt, the lab project which doesn't quite work out according to plan; Katie Hershberger. as the permanently-confused Justine; Jeff West as the befuddled Inspector Webber; and Joni Back as Frau Fankenstcin. Victor's terminally "dim" but constantly cheerful mother. Other members of the cast include: Mark Whitaker. Janine Tuttle. Trish Carter. Mike Sobierajski. Mike Vicsik. and Jack Godwin. Among the many other drama club members busily putting their finishing touches on the production this week are: student directors. Tim Cisney and Steve Kaszas; Art Director. Cars Zartman; Costume Supervisor. Janet Petry; Stage Managers. Dick Fansler and Mike Allsop; and Sound and Lighting Directors, Tim Pontius. Dan Patterson. and Jack Hurford. The fun will begin at 8:00 p.m. in the John Glenn auditorium with tickets available in advance from any cast member or at the door Try "The Curse Os Frankenstein'' for a "monsterous" gcxxi time. “Tootsie” Opens At The Rialto Theatre Friday Dustin Hoffman stars as a struggling actor who finally finds success — as the "heroine" of a IV soap opera — in Columbia Pictures' new comedy.
