North Liberty UMW To Present Program Sunday On Sunday. January 30th. at the 9:30 am worship hour of the North Liberty United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women will present the theme. “People of the South Pacific". Worshippers will he transported to a South Sea Island as the\ enter the decorated church building and are greeted in typical island fashion. Wildcats Take North Liberty Tourney Title Coach John Huffman’s fifth and sixth grade teams went into the North Liberty tourney undefeated, ”■O, on Saturday. January 15. The fifth grade Wildcats edged out New Prairie. 23-18. in an early morning game. The sixth grade Falcons also faced New Prairie. The score was
back and forth throughout the entire game showing excellent ball plasing on both sides. The teams went into overtime for a New Prairie victory. 44-40. The final championship game for the fifth grade was against OregonDavis. It was a quick and easy victory with the final score being 30-10. The Wildcats not have taken the tourney for the second straight year. We're proud of both teams and their fine coach. A job well done! LET S LIGHT UP THEIR LIVES FUND The fund for the Summer Special Olympic Games, for the physically handicapped is falling short of the necessary goal. We, the GFWC Woman's Community Club of Walkerton, are making a plea to the communities
of Walkerton and Kwnt/ Lake, to seek out the canisters and deposit your contribution, whether it be large or small. As you shop, or do your banking, look for the canisters at Ray's Supermarket.
