Happy Snipe Hunting GLENN GIRLS WIN OVER TRITON 46-44 After a very pwr start, the John Glenn girls basketball team battled back to take an exciting 46-44 victory over Triton last Thursday to hand the host team (heir first loss in Northern State Conference play. A pair of free throws by Julie Knowlton with just seconds remaining pushed the Lady Falcons in front and a last second foul shot just expanded the final score to 46 44. Glenn fell behind 9-2 after one period, but didn't give up and bat tied back the entire game to pull off the win. They trailed by five, 22-27. at the half and were able to only battle the Trojan team even in the third quarter However, with Knowlton getting seven points in the final period to pace the attack, they outscored their hosts 16-9 in the final stanza to account for the win. Lorca Feldman, a very strong allround player, led all scorers with 22 points on 10 baskets and a pair of charity tosses. Glenn was paced by a 16 point effort by Knowlton with Beth Kersh reaching double figures with 12. Houston had 24 points for Triton to lead all scorers while Glenn had double figure performances by Price and Knowlton with 13 and 11 respectively. The Glenn record is 8-4 after the loss while Triton moved to a 6-5 mark overall.
