NORTH LIBERTY TOWN BOARD NEWS Ihe North libertx Town Board met in regular session on August 4. at 7 :00 p.m.. at the Town Hall with president. William Limerick. calling the meeting to order. Other ' board members present were Allen Albright. Bruce Weber and Scott King. George Seiner was absent. Also present were six citizens. Marshal Howell and Pauline I askowski The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. In other business Claude McEndarfer asked if am progress had been made on the water problems at The Meadows. According to Limerick, attorney John Peddycord had written to HUD and a response has not ^>been received. Also McEndarfer said the dead end sign on King Street was removed and he requested that another be installed. Scott King volunteered to serve on a committee for acquiring a grant for construction of a new communitv building as asked for by Larrv Lent, from the Community i Building Association. Potato C reek Festival Committee, which was granted. After discussion with Marshal Howell, the Board advised him to check the applications for part time help in hiring personnel for the Eestival. Regular officers were to be working 12 hour shifts, donating 32 hours of their time, and Howell did not feel that additional security personnel were needed. His police report was then read and approved. Robert Kirkwood, of Clyde E. Williams and Associates, presented a contract for general engineering services. The board tabled this until time to discuss it with the tow n attorney. Ordinance 1982-5 was presented for the closing of the alley on Lot 5 in Fetzers North Side Addition w hich was approved and this was to coincide with the alley closed by St. Joseph County. Scott King stated that NIPSCO should have a proposal ready by the next board meeting in regards to changing and providing some additional street lights. A letter of resignation from Earle Niles, from the Sewer and Street Department, was read. Limerick stated that the insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield anniversary date would be September 1 and that the premium for a family would increase $53.80 a month and following discussion by
the Board it was decided to drop the Blue Cross Blue Shield and to apply to Golden Rule Insurance. A letter from I ACT in regards to utility rate intervention with a request for a $24.00 assessment was read and the assessment was slated to be paid along with other claims submitted for payment. Ihe meeting was adjourned at 9:27 p.m. An automobile traveling 30 miles per hour will go 44 feet in the space of a single second.

Heat uncovered at HIGH for 10 minutes to defrost. Then transfer the pie plate to a baking sheet; place in a preheated conventional oven at 450°F for 20 minutes.
