St. Joseph County I 4-H Fair Lists Entertainment The Grand Opening of the 1982 St. Joseph County 4-H County Fair will be held on Monday, August 2, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The program will be broadcast live over WSBT-TV with Bob Lux as master of ceremonies. The presentation of the colors and the 1981 King and Queen will be followed by the presentation of the 1982 4-H King and Queen candidates. The crowning of the new royalty will be done by Jack McGann, editor and publisher of the South Bend Tribune. Also at this time the outstanding leaders will be recognized as well as the presentation of awards to float winners.

Back by popular demand will be “Sleepy” Marlin and the Marlin Family in concert following the opening parade. They will appear in the grandstand. On Tuesday will be the 4-H Share-The-Fun Program at 7:00 p.m. in the grandstand. This is a program for 4-H’ers to demonstrate their talents and desire to perform. The participants were judged on May 3. Place on oven pan of Toast-R-Oven toaster. Bake at 400 degrees F. (no preheating needed) for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese melts and bread is crusty. Makes two sandwiches.

Appearing with her are her very own creation of life size farm animal characters. Magic, puppeteer, ventriloquist and balloons are also a part of her act. The fifth annual appearance of the Flint Cloggers, a group of young, good looking dancers whose talents and experience include drama, musical comedy, ballet, tap, jazz and disco.
