Sally Ann Bushong and Jeffrey Eugene Zehner were united in marriage on Saturday, June 5, at Stuntz-Hochstetler Pines, with Rev. John Goodpasture officiating at the double-ring ceremony. Karla M. Erickson, guitarist, provided music for the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bushong, Hamlet. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Zehner. Walkerton. The bride, given in marriage by her father and mother, wore a white Quiana floor length gown with lace trim on the bodice accented with tiny pearls and an A-line skirt with a long flowing train. The long slim fitted sleeves were enhanced with the same lace. The tiara veil was trimmed in the same lace. Diane Bantz. cousin of the bride, Kingsford Heights, was maid of honor and bridesmaid was Cathi Smith. Hamlet. They were attired in peach floor length gowns with an off-white long sleeved lace jacket. Dennis Holland, Walkerton, served as best man and groomsman was Willy Bushong, brother of the bride, Hamlet. Ushers were Bruce Sherk, cousin of the groom, of Bremen, and Darryl Eddinger, Walkerton. A reception was held at the Stuntz-Hochstetler hail. Musis was provided by Red Preston of WRBR. Following a wedding trip to Lake Shaffer the couple is at home on Rural Route 4, Walkerton. The bride is a 1980 graduate of John Glenn High School and a 1981

graduate of Knox Beauty College. The groom is a 1981 graduate of John Glenn High School and is employed by the Town of Walkerton. A rehearsal dinner was hosted at the home of the groom's parents. CELEBRATE 25TH ANNIVERSARY A surprise 25th anniversary reception was given to honor Mr. and Mrs. Eugene (Pete) Price, of North Liberty, on Saturday evening, June 26, at Garwood’s Orchard, LaPorte. The reception was given by their children, Diane, Ron and Jennifer. Much help was given by Mr. and Mrs. James Mitchell. Mishawaka; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Whitmer, North Liberty; and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Garwood, LaPorte. A buffet dinner was enjoyed and delicious cake and punch were served for dessert. There were 87 guests in attendance. Many lovely gifts were received. Nancy and Pete were married at the Methodist Church in Walkerton, June 29, 1957. Also honored that evening were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Whitmer, of North Liberty. They will be married 53 years on June 29. FINCH-REAMER REUNION The 43rd annual Finch-Reamer Reunion was held on Sunday. June 27, in the lovely park like yard of Katie and Wendell Eldred, South. There were 43 present for the bountiful pot luck dinner was extra delicious. Richard Eldred gave the
blessing. During the business session new officers were elected as follows: David Eldred. Elkhart, president; Robert Clarke, Dolton. Illinois; vice-president; and Marjorie Clarke. Koontz Lake, secretarytreasurer. Florence Finch, of Angola, was the eldest guest present. She just celebrated her 95th birthday on June 22. Ihe youngest was Bobby Clarke. .Jr., of Dolton. Illinois, who is 18 months old. The guests that traveled the farthest were Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Wagnon. of Dallas, Texas. After the meeting the children had races and games. The men played horse shoes. It was good to get together with the families that were there. Next year's reunion will be held the last Sunday in June, as always. ELECTED PRESIDENT Donna Fries, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Fries, of Lakeville, was recently elected president of Purdue University's Environmental Science Club. Many of their four-part barbershop songs arc taken from yesteryear, so it was fitting for them to ride in the antique cars in the parade.
