Mr. Leonard Beaty is a patient in the LaPorte Hospital where he aas taken on Sunday evening. He remains in intensive care at the time of the printing of this issue. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Knowlton were camping at Potato Creek over he weekend. Mrs. Phil Brant returned last week after spending some time with her parents in Bowling Green, Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck McLean entertained on Sunday in celebration of the birthday of June Boone and the wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Chuck McLean. Due to the Koontz Lake Festival this weekend there will not be a dinner on Saturday evening of the Koontz Lake Conservation Club and the next week being the Fourth of July holiday, there will not be a supper that Saturday evening also. Mrs. Dr. Pomery. of Ft. Wayne, and Mrs. Keith Rupel, of North Liberty, were in Walkerton last week one day visiting with Mrs. Rhea Wright. Mr. and Mrs. Todd Beyerl, of Wheaton, Illinois; and Mr. Loren Capek, of Chicago, were weekend visitors of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Capek. Jr. Other Sunday dinner guests were Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald and Mr. and Mrs. James Capek. Sr. Mr. Lee Chapman was dismissed from the LaPorte Hospital on Saturday. Other surgical patients in the LaPorte Hospital are Mr. Harold Weller and Mrs. Thelma Kost. Mr. Jack Wallace is again a surgical patient in St. Joseph Medical Center. South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Milner, of Plymouth, were Tuesday visitors last week with their aunt, Mrs. J. C. Milner. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Smith and son were hosts for the weekend of the Graham family. Most of the guests came from Valparaiso with their campers. Meals were cooked outdoors and a camper's life was enjoyed by the families. Mrs. Nellie Smith, of Walkerton, was a guest on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Rough and family were hosts on Sunday for a cook out for members of the Barden families. Honored guests were Mrs. Karen Barden and son, Jason, of National City. California.
Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Danny Barden and family, of Plymouth; Christine and Andrea Barden, of LaPaz; Mrs. Viola Barden and Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Skinner. Mrs. Goldie Chapman was in Warsaw on Sunday visiting her sister. Mrs. Beulah Fetterholf. Mr. and Mrs. William Barden, of Merrillville, were guests ot Mrs. Harold Weller last week. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Rough. Karen and Jason Barden, of National City. California, spent a day at Muskegon. Michigan, last week with Mr. and Mrs. Larry Barden and family. Miss Paula Rough, who had been there for two weeks, returned home w ith them. Mr. Floyd Bellinger, of Miller’s Merrv Manor, was admitted to the LaPorte Hospital last Thursday where he underwent surgery on Friday for a broken hip. SHENEMANS CELEBRATE 48TH ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Claude Shcneman. North Liberty, enjoyed dinner last Wednesday. June 16. at the Come & Dine Restaurant. Wakarusa. They were pleasantly surprised w hen Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pogodzinski and Mr. and Mrs. Clell Fouts, of Walkerton, arrived to enjoy dinner with them. Following dinner they called on Mr. and Mrs. Donald Teter, in Mishawaka. Mrs. Susie Teter is recuperating after a week's stay in the St. Joseph Medical Center. They shared their beautiful anniversary cake with them before returning home. In the evening the following friends came to enjoy strawberry shortcake and ice cream with them. Mr. and Mrs. Wilder Burnside. Harold Rust, Mr. and Mrs. Clell Fouts and Mr. and Mrs. Pogodzinski. all of near Walkerton. It was a day to be remembered by the Shcnemans.

I his vear was the largest B-C camp in total numbers. Approximately 200 college coaches dropped in to observe the talent at the all star camp. “This was one of the greatest, most frightening experiences I've ever had." said Zane. "And the most exciting thing was, our team won the tourney!" JEFFERSON-JACKSON DAY DINNER lhe Marshall County Democratic Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner will be held on Friday evening, June 25. at the Plymouth American Legion. A social hour will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. with dinner at 7:30 p.m. Richard C. Bodine. State Representative and also democratic candidate for U. S.
