Legion To Celebrate 63rd Year The Indiana Department Commander of The American Legion. Max E. Julian Jr., and Mrs. Julian, will be most cordially greeted Saturday evening, March 6. when The American Legion will celebrate their 63rd birthday. Commander Julian will be the guest speaker for the evening following the carry-in dinner which will be served at 7:00 p.m. in the Post Home. Special recognition will be given to the Past Commanders of Orville Easterday Post 18$. Members of The American Legion and its Auxiliary and their guests are asked to bring covered dishes and table service. Among the guests who will be attending are Keith Brown. Valparaiso. National Executive Committeeman and John Mills. Northern Vice Commander of The American Legion. Following Commander Julian’s message to the members, a special program will be presented by “Minnie Tee's” a three-piece musical combo from South Bend. Sherrie Edmonds is the singer of the group who have appeared at Century Center, South Bend and other points in the Michiana area. For an evening of serious note and the program prepared, all members of The American Legion and its Auxiliary are invited to share in this night of caring and sharing. OBITUARIES

MYRTLE MARIE FELTON Mrs. Mvrtle Marie Felton. 74, of 2852 E. CR 300 S, LaPorte. died on Sunday, February 21. at noon, at the LaPorte Hospital, following a four month illness. She was born on August 28. 1907, in Walkerton, to Charles F. and Deborah (Amor) Weller and had lived near LaPorte since 1930, coming from Walkerton. She was a member of the Salem Chapel United Methodist Church. Ruth Circle of the church. Pleasant Township Extension Homemakers Club and the Pleas-ant-Washington Township Farm Bureau. On October 1. 1930, in LaPorte, she married Fred J. Fei ton, who survives. Surviving along with her husband are two daughters, Mrs. James (Bonnie) Robinson, of La porte, and Mrs. Duane (Joan) Ciback, of Portage; one son. Gerald. of LaPorte; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers. Russell and Harold Weller. both of Walkerton. Her par ents, one sister and two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Haverstock Funeral Home, La Porte, with Rev. Terry C. Rhine, officiating. Burial was in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, near Michigan City.
