Mr. and Mrs. Eli Eivancoick uill be hosts for the Koontz Lake Conservation Club dinner Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Gregg Burnside were Wednesday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wilder Burnside. The Gregg Burnsides are from South Bend. Mrs. Alma Daube. Mrs. Martha Mull and their sister. Mrs. Hattie Bowers, of LaPorte. went to Chesterton Friday to attend the funeral services of a cousin. Mr. and Mrs. Don Teeter, of Mishawaka, and Mr. a'nd Mrs. Claude Shencman. of North Libertv. were Thursday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wilder Burnside. Mr. and Mrs. Don Robinson and their daughter, of Johnson Township. LaPorte County, were involved in an auto accident in Warsaw. Indiana. Sunday evening when they were taking their daughter back to school in Manchester. They were struck by a truck and Mrs. Robinson and daughter were hospitalized. Mrs. M. L. Bouse's birthday was celebrated with her family Saturday evening with dinner at Holly's Landing. South Bend. The following guests were present: Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bouse. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Bouse. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sullivan and Deniese. of North Liberty, and Mr. and Mrs. GaryBrown. of South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn entertained with a Valentine dinner Sunday for Mrs. Mamie Hahn. Mrs. Viola Barden and Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Skinner. A birthday and Valentine party was given Sunday evening with dinner in the home of Ed Klopfenstein with Ed as the honored guest. The guests were Mrs. Velma Hedges, of Walkerton: Mr. and Mrs. Mike Klopfenstein; and Mrs. Allen Rushton and daughter. Kerry; and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Meadows. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Freeman were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Branner and son Michael. of South Bend, and Mr. and Mrs. Rick Litchenbarger and son Ryan, of Walkerton. Mr. Claude Watkins and son Eddie, of Highland. Indiana, and Mr. Jack Watkins, of Fish Lake, were Sunday dinner guests of their mother. Mrs. Ida Mae Watkins. This was a birthday dinner for Mrs. Watkins but was delayed on account of the weather. Mrs. Fayette Dunn came home Sunday after spending a month in Lafayette with her son Dennis, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Dunn, of Goshen, came Sunday evening to visit his mother. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Freeman returned home on Saturday after vacationing in San Juan. Puerto Rico, with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Keiser. Mrs. Vee Shogren, of Koontz Lake, came home Monday after a two week stay at Pecatonica, Illinois, with her dauther and family, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Larson and son. While there she attended the wedding of a great niece in the Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago. The wedding was on Valentine’s Day and was a very beautiful service. Mr. and Mrs. Philip Harris, of South Bend, were Saturday evening callers of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Weller. Mr. and Mrs. William Braden and daughters, of Merrillville, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Weller. Mrs. Helen Smith, of Koontz Lake, was in Crosswood, Illinois for the birthday of her granddaughter, who was celebrating her 18th birthday on Sunday. Mr. John Matousek. of Walkerton, was admitted to St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend, on Wednesday of this week for tests. Mrs. John Flora, of Plymouth,

was in Walkerton and Mrs. J. C. Milner came with her. Mrs. Milner has been staying at the home of Mrs. Flora since she was dismissed from Plymouth Hospital due to a fall which required hip surgery in January. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Baker and Paul and Mrs. Vylet Baker were in Bremen Sunday as dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Baker. Oth-
