Some Walkerton residents who keep in touch with Mr. and Mrs. Art Benson, former Walkerton residents, have learned that Art has had surgery at four different times for cancer. Mr. Benson was manager of Pyro Electric while in Walkerton. Since Art's birthday is on February 9. it would be nice to remember him and probably be a lift morally for him. His address is 1609 Shawnee Road. Apt. 706. Lima. Ohio 45805. Mrs. Wilbur Andrews, of Bancroft. Michigan, is spending a week with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Murphy and other relatives in Walkerton and LaPorte. Mr. Robert Haas and daughter, Debbie, of Orland Park. Illinois, spent last Tuesday with his mother, Mrs. Bess Ferverda.

Mrs. Lucille Dickson, of Koontz Lake, came home last Friday after a month's visit in Wilmington, Delaware, with her niece and family, and a week in Glenview. Illinois, with her son and family. Mr. Dale Ullery was dismissed from Memorial Hospital last Thursday and is getting around on crutches now. Mr. Geralg Howard. of Koontz Lake, was dismissed last week from the LaPorte Hospital and is home. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald White, of Chicago, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Anspaugh. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ullery entertained the members of the euchre club in their home Friday evening. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. John Rankert. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Masterman and Mr. and Mrs. Agnew Ludwig. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Herold Hostetler and two sons were Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Skinner.
Mr. and Mrs James Hostetler and family, Mr. and Mrs. David Hostetler and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hostetler, and Mr. and Mrs. Pat McNorton and daughters, of Hanover, Illinois. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard B. Williams returned on Sunday. January 17, from a vacation spent in Hawaii. An eight-day tour was enjoyed. Kathy Reed, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reed. Koontz Lake, has been placed on the Dean's List at Vincennes University. She is studying respiratory therapy and will be in South Bend for her clinical studies and then return to the University for her finals. The Koontz Lake Conservation Club has cancelled their January dinner meeting scheduled for the 30th and will try to have the regular Saturday evening meetings as usual in February.
Mrs J. C. Milner expects to go to the home of her close friend Mrs Margaret Flora. Plymouth, for an indefinite time. She has been in the Plymouth Hospital for a couple of weeks due to an injury she received to her hip in a fall. She is making satisfactory recovery and enjoys her cards from her many friends. Mrs Ruth Fastland, of Nap panee, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Burroughs, of Plymouth, were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mrs. Ada Miller. ON DEAN’S LIST Kathy Rohrer, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Bryce Rohrer. Rural Route 4. Walkerton, has been named on the Valparaiso University's Dean’s List for the fall semester. Kathy received a grade point average of 3.58, and is currently working on her sixth semester at Valparaiso as a social work major.

LIONS MEET IN WALKERTON Ihe Walkerton Lions Club met on Monday evening. January 25. at the J A; J Restaurant for their monthly meeting Ihe speaker for the evening was Richard Powers, of the German Township Club, vice-president of the Indiana Lions Cancer Control Program. A film was shown to the members. The Indiana Lions are planning to kick off another important fundraising project The project is for SI million during the next two to three years for the purchase of a cancer radiation therapy machine to be installed al Indiana University Medical Center.
