MAPLE SYRUP TOURS The St. Joseph County Parks and Recreation Department is now’ taking reservations for group tours of the Bendix Woods Sugar ( amp. Tours for school organizations arc offered Monday through Friday at 9:30 am., 11:00 am., and 1:00 p.m.; all times are eastern standard. Other groups and organizations may schedule tours weekdays after 3:00 p.m. Groups from outside St. Joseph County, may call for reservations after Tuesday. January 12. Public tours of the Sugar Camp are scheduled for February 28. and March 7. at 10:30 a m. and 12:30 a.m. E.S.T. All tours will begin at the Glenn Bauer Shelter. The tours will consist of a presentation of the history of sugar bushing, a walking tour of the Sugar Bush, and a visit to the Sugar House. Syrup will be sold by the pint as available. The annual Pancake and Sausage Breakfast will be served by the New Carlisle Lions Club on Saturdav, March 13 and Sundav. March 14. A highlight of the weekend on Saturday will be the second annual North-Central Woodland’s Association Forestry Field Dav.
