The DeWayne Lee residence at 101 Williams Street, North Liberty, was struck by a car driven by Ed Wroblewski, Walkerton. Both Wroblewski, and a passenger, John Oliver, North Liberty, were uninjured. Estimated damage to the garage and the vehicle parked inside have not been determined. Glenn Girls Win First In Basketball The John Glenn girls basketball team broke into the win column on Mondav night with a 44-32 victory over South Central. This broke a six game losing streak that included two games last week, a 49-41 loss to Triton on Wednesday night and a 48-36 loss on Thursday. The overall record is I-6 with just one more game w ith New Prairie before the holiday vacation. The return of Barh Peacock has helped the girls in recent games as the senior veteran had to miss the first few games due to a volleyball injury. Triton Wins In NSC Play The Triton girls jumped ahead in the early stages and then led all the wav to hand the Lady Falcons their fifth straight setback last Wednesday With seven girls splitting their points pretty evenly and a lb point effort from Lorea Feldman, the Triton team won their second

game in six outings. This game marked the first real playing time for Peacock who grabbed off 18 rebounds, led the team in scoring with 12 points and provided some needed leadership to the young Glenn team. It was 11-5 after one period and 23-15 at halftime. Although they didn't blow it open, the lead was maintained throughout on the way to the eight point margin of victory. Lyn Swanson and Nancy Deßover paced the Lady Slicers with I 7 and 14 points rcspectivclv as they moved to a 17-10 first quarter lead, increased it to 31-14 at the halftime and in the second half used their bench freely. The Lady Falcons were led again by Barb Peacock and Michele Vicsik with 12 and 10 points respectively while Peacock pulled down 10 rebound while Vicsik and Beth Kersh had eight each.
