GLENN GIRLS DROP PAIR TO BREMEN TEAM The John Glenn girls basketball team opened their season last Wednesday night and both the var sits and B-Team lost to good Bremen teams. For Bremen's varsity. it was their third win in the sou ng season. The Bremen girls had little trouble with the young and inexperienced lads Falcons. After one quarter Bremen held a commanding 24-’ lead and used their bench freely thereafter. It was 34-18 at the half, but in the second half it was just a matter of time as the I ads I ions pulled away to win bs a ’l-35 margin. Deanna Moren, an outstanding scorer for Bremen, led all scorers with 23 points on nine baskets and Fisc free throws. Jones added lb and Adams 12 as all 10 Bremen girls shared in the scoring. Tern Stull reached double figures to pace Glenn with 10 points, all on baskets, while Beth Kcrsh had nine and 10 rebounds and Janet Pontius and Michele Vicsik had eight and six respectisels with Vicsik and Julie Knowlton leading the assists with two each. Once again the Bremen team spread their points around very good as eight of 10 girls scored with Holt leading all scorers with 18 points. The Wildcat fifth grade won by a score of 34 to 12 and the sixth grade team won by 14 to 10 in overtime. Ten players scored for the Cats in the first game. David Fansler led the wav with a game high 14 points. John Pinckert and Garvin Spencer each grabbed eight caroms and

Todd King played great defense. Yoder scored six for the Trojans. The second game was a real defensive battle which found both teams scoring only 10 points at the end of regulation time. Danny Risner canned an 18 footer to put the Wildcats up by two in overtime and finished with six points to share scoring honors with Wooley of Lakeville. Jimmy Tuttle pulled down nine rebounds to go with five steals and Willie Hostrawser played a fine defensive game. The Wildcats next home games will be the next three Thursdays. December 3. 10 and 17.
