North Liberty, passed away at 5:35 a m. on Monday. November 23. at Memorial Hospital after a year s illness. He was born on August 22. 190?. in St. Joseph County and had lived in this area ail of his life. On September 1. 1928. he married the former Martha E. Ruff, in Plymouth, who preceded him in death on July 15. 1967. He was retired from farming in 1971 and worked at Memorial Hospital from 1965 to 1969. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Elsie M. Herbster and Mrs. Ruth Schafer, both of Lakeville, and Mrs. Caroly n Snyder, of Spokane. Washington; three sons. Carl G.,of Lewiston. Idaho, Davie E.. of Elkhart, and Wayne A., of Lakeville; 26 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren and a sister. Mrs. Edna Hartsough, of North Liberty. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, of which he was a member, with Rev. James Simmons, pastor and Rev. Robert Hueni of the Community Gospel Church. Bremen, officiating. Burial was in the Fair Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Hospital memorial fund. MRS. MARZELL WELCH Funeral services for Mrs. Marzell Welch, 34, of Route 2. Barker Road, White Pigeon. Michigan, who passed away on Thursday as the result of an auto accident near Sturgis. Michigan, were held at 10:00 a m. on Monday, November 23, at the A. M. Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty, with Dr. Gaylord Saltzgaber, pastor of the North Liberty United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery. North Liberty. She was born on February 10. 1947, in South Bend and lived in North Liberty and Elkhart before moving to White Pigeon this year Survivors include a daughter, Krystall Welch; two sons. Robert

(Jack) Ransbottom. 50. of 51365 County Road 109. Simonton Lake. Elkhart, passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Friday in the Elkhart General Hospital shortly after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home. He was born on July 5. 1931, in North Liberty, where he lived until he moved to Elkhart five years ago. He was a supervisor for the Reith-Riley Construction Co.. Elkhart, where he had worked for 20 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Gregorich, of North Liberty. Mrs. Christine Shephard, of Culver, and Miss Mary Ransbottom. of Kansas City, Missouri; two sons. Jack of North Liberty, and Daniel, of Naples, Florida; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Pittman, of North Liberty. Miss Annabelle Clark, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mrs. Charlotte Dagley, of Naples. Florida; three halfsisters, Mrs. Effie Hammaker, of North Liberty, Mrs. Gwendolyn Town, of Rochester, and Mrs. Odell Benzel. of Spokane, Washington; two brothers. James, of Sunnyvale. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of the American Legion Post 365, North Liberty. MRS. MINNIE 1. EVERHART Mrs Minnie Lenora Everhart. 83. of Millers Merry Manor. Walkerton, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. November 24. at the nursing home after an extended illness. She was born on March 2~. 1898 to Oren and Cora (Apple by) McCormack, in Hendricks County. Indiana and has lived here for 1" years coming from Indianapolis. On July 30. 1916. in Plainfield. she married Robert Carl Everhart. Surviving are three daughters. Mrs. Rachel (Rudolph) Higginbotham. of Indianapolis. NORTH LIBERTY FALCONS LOSE TO PLYMOUTH The North Liberty Falcons were defeated by the Plymouth Rockies in fixitbali 21-0 in the first meeting ever between the two schools. The first quarter was dominated by North Liberty, but as the game continued the momentum shifted to Plymouth. The eighth grade defense was led by Keith Cordell with 10 tackles while Mike Rhixies had five. Randv Arnett led the offense with 12 carries for 67 yards. The loss gave North Liberty a season record of 2-4. The seventh grade was also defeated by Plymouth 16-0. Plymouth scored the 16 points in the first half. After halftime the game was played evenly by both teams. Scott Ray carried the ball 10 times for 39 yards. Billy Nichols led the offense with five tackles while Wes Pavey had four. The seventh grade overall record was 2-2-2. The first numbering of houses was introduced on the Pont NotreDame, Paris, in 1463.

Make Curry Sauce: Meanwhile, in mediumsaucepan, combine oil, flour, curry powder and pepper; gradually stir in milk until smooth. Over medium heat, bring to a boil, stirring constantly; lower heat; simmer, stirring, until thickened, about 2 to 3 minutes. When chicken has baked 15 minutes, pour over sauce; re-cover; bake an additional ■ 10 to 15 minutes. < 4. To Serve: Mix reserv- । ed 1 tablespoon shredded wheat crumbs with chopped i parsley; remove toothpicks i from chicken breasts.
