Mrs. Viola Barden entertained Saturday evening at dinner for her son and wife who will be making their home in long Beach, California. Duane completed his schooling in Chicago on turbal engines at the navy base and is now being stationed at Long Beach until he is sent aboard ship. Mr. and Mrs. James Murphs Mr and Mrs Pete Thornburg will be serving as hosts Saturday evening at the Koontz Lake Conservation Club dinner for members and their guests. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cripe, of W hittier. California, left the first of this week for their home after spending six weeks visiting in and around Walkerton and Chicago. Mrs Lynn Stull, daughter Tammie. and son David, were in Terre Haute Saturday to attend a wedding in which Tammi was a participant. Hospital patients at LaPorte Hospital include Mrs. Retta Williams. Mrs. Grant Bellinger is a medical patient, and Mrs. Victoria

McCann, a medical patient. Beginning Sunday morning a pancake and sausage breakfast was served at Camp Mill House and early in the afternoon a ceremony was held when a plague was presented to the Al Drews family in memory of the work and services Mr. Drews had done for Camp Millhouse. He served as president of the hoard of trustees for several years and was instrumental in building several camps on the grounds. The plaque was presented to the members of the family but was to be left at the camp. Family members present were Mrs. Linda Benjamin, of Kansas City, Kansas; Mrs. Norma Heckman, from Texas; Mrs. Damaris Smith, of South Bend; John Drews, of Plymouth; and David Drews, of Walkerton. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ullery went to Wausaukee. Wisconsin, last Wednesday and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wasko. From there they went throught the straits and down the Michigan side to Marquette where they spent the remainder of the week with Mr. and Mrs. David Flaugher. Mrs. Flaugher is a granddaughter of the Ullcrys. They found nine inches of snow in the north and some slippery roads. The Rev. Robert Bowman and his wife.
