MICHAEL WAYNE PEARISH Michael Wayne Pearish. 33. of 6(X)‘ i Roosevelt Road. Walkerton, passed away at 6:20 a m. on Wednesday, October 14. at the Indiana Universitx Medical Center. Indianapolis, after an extended illness. He was born on March 4. 1948, in I.aPorte. His parents, who survive, are Regenia (Mrs. Orlow) Bussic, of Walkerton, and Lowell Pearish, of Logansport. He was a free lance photographer, a Vietnam War veteran and a member of the Walkerton American Legion Post 189. He was a lifetime Walkerton area resident. Surviving along with his parents are a daughter. Miss Marcie Pearish. of LaPorte; two sisters. Linda (Mrs. Ernest) Bridwell and Sue (Mrs. Clifford) Brockman, both of Walkerton; one half-sister. Miss Jeannine Bussic. of Walkerton; one brother. Rick Pearish, of Michigan City; and four half-brothers. Kim. Kerry. Kelly and Kent Bussic, all of Walkerton He was preceded in death bx one brother. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17,I 7 , at the Nusbaum Elkin Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Gearheart. pastor of the United Methodist Church. Walkerton, officiating. Burial and graveside military services conducted by the Walkerton American Legion Post, were held at Woodlawn Cemetery. Walkerton. MELVIN CARBIENER Melvin Carbiencr, 80, of 69935 State Road 331, Bremen, passed away at 6:10 p.m. on Monday. October 12. at the Bremen Community Hospital, after being ill three months. He was born on June 19, 1901. in Union Township, St. Joseph County, to Samuel and Catharine Buhler Carbiencr and was a lifetime Bremen resident. He married Bessie Keyser on February 11. 1926. in Lakeville, who preceded him in death on March 12. 1969. He was a retired farmer and was a bus driver for 23 years for the Madison School. Surviving are a daughter, Mary (Mrs Brad) Robinson, Bremen; seven grandchildrent; two greatgrandchildren; one sister. Miss Glads s Carbiencr. South Bend; and a brother. Ray Carbiencr. Walkerton. He was preceded in death bx a daughter, son, a brother and six sisters. Services were held at 11 :00 a.m. on Friday at the Community Gospel Church. Bremen, with Rev. Robert Hueni assisted by Rev. William I Heath, officiating. Burial was in the Bremen Cemetery. MRS. HAROLD (PEARL) RUST Mrs. Pearl Rust. bB, of Route I, Walkerton, passed away at noon on
Saturday . October 17. in St. Joseph Medical Center. South Bend, after a lengthy illness. She was born on December 10. 1912, in Oak Park. Illinois, and had lived in the Marshall County area since 1969 She married Harold Rust on Mav 5. 1934. in Oak Park. Illinois, who surx ives. Surviving along with her husband arc a daughter. Mrs. Thomas (Janet) Mc( lelland. of Greenfield, Indiana; a son. Ken. of Halifax. Nova Scotia; six grandchildren; a sister, Lillian Ogle, of Denver, In diana; and a brother. Harld Schroeder. of Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Van Gilder Funeral Home. Plymouth, with Rex. Frant Zink, pastor of the Neighborhood Church, Plymouth, of which she was a member, officiating. Burial was in the Tyner Cemetery.
