If you buy a new gas dryer with automatic pilotless ignition, you could realize an Energy Savings Payback (E.S.P.) in the operation of that dryer through the many years you use it. When buying a new home appliance today, there are two costs you should consider carefully: 1. The original cost 2. The lifetime cost of operation The original cost is important, but with the cost of all forms of energy increasing, it’s also important to shop for the appliance that will use less of your total energy dollars through the years.
