Club was held at the Rebecca Lodge, Walkerton, with 39 mem bers and five guests present for the delicious salad bar President, Pauline Baughman, presided and opened the meeting with the repeating of the Lord’s Praver followed by the reading of a poem, "Spring". The birthday song was sung to those having birthdays in March and they were Bonnie Sullivan, Chris Gillies. Betty King and Mrs. King received the birthday gift. The nomination of the Woman of the Year was held and the following candidates were placed on the slate, Carolyn Kelly, Myrna Daube. Verda Karn and Norine Divine. The ways and means committee presented hams to Dorothy Meyers and Becky Reed. Other winners were Alice Sheaks and Pauline Baughman. Alice Walker received the door prize. Shirley Mahoney gave a very interesting talk and demonstration on how to dress with what you have, accessories, proper dress for your proportions, accenting your waistline. etc. Merle Dixon was named chairman for the April meeting. At this meeting Mrs. Shirley Junge, of Plymouth, will be our guest speaker. The meeting will be held on April 23. 4-H NEWS The Liberty Township 4-H Club will hold its second meeting of the year at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. April 22, in the North Liberty V.F.W. Post, at Tamarack and Quinn Roads. Manuals will be passed out. A May roller skating party and bake sale will be planned. Refreshments will be served. The meeting will end at 9:00 p.m. All Liberty Township 4-H B Club boys and girls are urged to attend this important meeting.
