OBITUARIES FOREST W. KLINEDINST Forest W. Klinedinst. 65. of 806 Van Buren Street. Walkerton, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Monday. April 6. in St. Joseph's Medical Center. South Bend, after a brief illness. He was born on October 8. 1915. in Tyner and he had lived in the Walkerton area all of his life. On December 9, 1961. he married Harriett Krick, who survives. He was a retired field control calibrator for the Bendix Corp. He was a World War II Army veteran. Surviving along with his wife are a daughter. Linda. K.. at home: four sons. Kenneth L., of North Liberty. Tommy D.. of El Cajon, California. Larry J., of Plymouth, and Forest W., Jr., of Glennview Naval Station. Illinois; five grandchildren; a sister. Mrs. James (F.rna) Calahan. of Corpus Christi. Texas; a half-sister. Miss Bea Klinedinst. of Ludowici. Georgia; five brothers. Lester, of Edwardsburg. Michigan. Dale, of Granger, Herbert, of Three Oaks. Michigan, Robert, of Muncie, and Richard, of Mishawaka; and two half-brothers, Brent, of Ludowici. Georgia, and David, of Delta. Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. April 9. at the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home. Walkerton, with Rev. Robert Gearheart. pastor of the Walkerton United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Tyner Cemetery. NINA E. LOWRY Mrs. Nina E. Lowry. 77. Route 4. Box 382. Walkerton, passed away at 2:35 a m. on Saturday, April 4. at her home after an extended illness. She was born on October 9, 1903, in Howard County to Samuel and Emma (Young) Wilson, she had lived most of her life in the Walkerton-Teegarden area. She married George W. Low'ry. Sr., on March 5. 1927. in Plymouth, who preceded her in death on January 25.1972. Surviving are a daughter. Mrs. Charles (Evelyn) Dunkirk; seven grandchildren; seven great-grand-children; and a sister, Mrs. Corrine Brown. Englewood. California. She was preceded in death by one son. George (Peck) Lown. Jr., and an infant son and daughter. Services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. April 6. at the Nus-baum-Elkin Funeral Home. Walkerton. with Rev. James Gilmer, officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Walkerton. MRS. EVA L. McENDARFER Mrs. Eva L. McEndarfer, 82, a resident of the Bremen Manor Nursing Home, Bremen, passed away at 6:13 p.m. on Friday, April 3. in St Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka. She was married to Wilfred McEndarfer w ho preceded her in death on October 2, 1970. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Betty Beringer. of Crumstown; a son. Robert 1., of South Bend; three grandchildren; four great-grand-children; and a brother. Russell Mangus, of Kimmell, Indiana. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. April 6. in the A. M. Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty. with Rev. C harles Rutherford, pastor of the Bremen United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Sumption Prairie Cemetery. She was a lifetime member of the Tabor United Methodist Church. North Liberty. Scanlon. Esther has left Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home and is now an RN at Starke Memorial Hospital in Knox. We wish her a happy association there. Donna Tennison, a former aide here, was recently installed as Worthy Matron of Walkerton Chapter OES. She is the fourth generation to use that particular gavel as Worthy Matron, her mother. Betty Wolfenberger, grandmother. Frances Koch, and greatgrandmother were before her. We wish her a happy contented term in office. Congratulations to Deb Anspaugh on being chosen Employee of the Month and Anne Huffstetter who was chosen as Nursing Aide of the Month. The March birthday party was held March 29. The guests of honor were Dora Annis. Mary Shcnoha. Versa Shinn, Arthur McKesson and Arthur Donathan. Entainment was furnished by Gladys Sheneman at the piano and Jackie Singleton leading the singing of the congregation. We thank them for their services. The fourth graders brought us a St. Patrick's day program and a paper posy for every one. Thank you. children. We thank the following churches for services brought to us: Rev. Shelley. Walkerton Baptist Church; Rev. Richmond. North Liberty Church of Christ; Rev. and Mrs. Stoops. Assembly Os God; Mrs. Lynn Brady, First Brethren. North Liberty; who substituted for Rev. Brady by bringing the children's choir, a group of well trained and well behaved children. Pam Saylor is quite excited about the coming wedding of her granddaughter in Chicago. Eleanor Knight is again assisting in our activities department and we enjoy having her back after a long absence. Mrs. Michael Butler brought the two babies in last week. Jennifer and Sarah Marie. Mike has a verv nice family, we enjoy seeing them. Our sympathy goes to the Dollahan sisters, former aides, in the loss of their grandfather. The April Birthday Party will be held April 26. The resident guests of honor will be Myrtle Barney. Karin Richey. Paul Blalock. Pam Saylor. Myrtle Herbold, Tony Bentley. Roy Newell. Icy Rhodebeck and Adelaide Millard. Many of our aides have received CPR training but few have had the opportunity to put it in practice. Gina Newland recently came upon a tragic accident in which a child had been struck on his bicycle. Gina assisted another passerby in administering CPR. We commend Gina for assisting in a crises such as this.

Shaffer, son of Charlie W. and Patricia Shaffer, of 202 Carolina Street, Walkerton, has completed recruit training at the Naval Training Center, Orlando, Florida. During the eight-week training cycle, trainees studies general military subjects designed to prepare them for further academic and on-the-job training in one of the Navv’s 85 basic occupational fields. Included in their studies were seamanship, close order drill, Naval history and first aid.
