Mr and Mrs. Wilbur Andrews, of Bancroft, Michigan, spent the major part of last week in Walkerton and LaPorte visiting relatives and friends. Mrs. Mars Rensberger had minor surgerv last week in Memorial Hospital. South Bend, and was released Monday of this week The seven-year old son of Mr and Mrs. Charles Baker is a patient in Riles Children's Hospital, in Indianapolis. Mr and Mrs. Dale I Ilers came home Thursday of last week from a winter's vacation spent in Texas and Florida. In Austin. Texas, thes visited their daughter and family. Mr. and Mrs. John Kiracofe. After three weeks in Austin thes went to Florida to visit Mrs. Ulen 's brother. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wisler. at Fort Myers. On their return trip they made a few stops just to sas “hi" and to exchange a fess words with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hostetter, at Leigh High Acres; Mr. and Mrs Russ Rhine, at New Port Riches; and Mr. and Mrs. Flosd Brown, at Sebring. Wisconsin, follow ing the ceremony. Mrs. Tom Anspaugh. of Walkerton. accompanied bx her mother. Mrs. Charlotte Talbott, of Plymouth. were in Kewanna last Saturday for the 89th birthday of Mrs. Anspaugh's grandmother. Other relatives from South Bend and Kewanna were present for the partv. Miss Ethel Bierly attended the Starke County Retired Teachers meeting last Wednesday in the home of Mrs. Don Meyers. Knox. On Monday of this week she entertained her birthday club with nine members present. On Tuesday the Naomi Circle of the United Methodist Church met in her home for their regular monthly meeting. TO CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY Ml i ' tp ’ fl a jm Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Bobbe, of Koontz Lake, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a luncheon and reception on Sunday, March 22, at Tiebel’s Restaurant, Routes 30 and 41, Shercrville, Indiana. Hosts will be Richard and Alois Bobbe, Anne and Edward Steele, and Kenneth and Danis Bobbe, also their grandchildren. The Bobbes were residents of Chicago for over 60 years and were married there on March 21, 1931. Mrs. Bobbe was the former Ruth Strine. Elliott Bobbe was employed as department manager by Sears for 29 years and later was self-employ-ed. They retired to Koontz Lake in 1974 and have resided there ever since. They have three children, Richard, Anne Steele, and Kenneth, also ten grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
