Mrs. Harold I dding. r. who led the group in the pledge to the flag followed bs the song of the month, “Old Smokv". Ml repeated the club creed and answered roll call with some interesting comments on what we will resolve to do bs June 1481 During the business meeting a letter was read from the Walkerton Public librarv and it was voted to give them a donation. We will be having some linen 1481 towels for sale and if sou are interested contact Mrs Eddinger. A lesson on making silk flowers will be held at the February meeting and the group will tour Hickors Farms in March. I he meeting closed with the club prayer. The social hour followed with Mrs. Branson Hiatt and Mrs Leigh Ros Hahn in charge. Games were placed and the winners were Mrs ( Isde Stickles. Mrs. Richard Fall and Nirs. Rick Rubs. PROJECT SAFE ’Bl “You and Project SAFE ’81" is a new pamphlet being sent to senior citizens organizations and social s< rvicc agencies for free distribution to individuals concerned about winter energy bills. The pamphlet has been prepared and distributed bv the Older Adult Impact Program of the Legal Services Program of Northern Indiana. “You and Project SAFE ’81" is part of a concentrated effort to inform individuals about how Project SAFE 81 can help pay winter fuel bills Ihe pamphlet explains that any person with an annual income below $4."38 plus $1,525 for each additional household member is eligible. Renters whose utilitv bills arc an undcsignatcd portion of their rent mav also be eligible. The onlv income eligible group that will not receive Project SAFE 'Bl assistance are renters who live in subsized housing where their rent includes their utility bills. However. renters living in subsidized housing with separately metered and billed utilities will receive assista nee. People heating with gas should applv at their gas utilitv: and
