their conference leading record to 4-0 while the host New Prarie team slipped to 3-5 for the season and 2-1 in conference play. Things didn't look g<xxi for the ladx Talons in the first half as they couldn't get going on offense and also couldn't stop the great scoring show of Denise Spear on defense. With Spear doing it all. the New Prairie team jumped to a 14-5 first quarter lead as Spear accounted for 11 of their 14 on four baskets and

three of three from the line. She continue this scoring show in the second period, getting five more baskets and b\ the main intermission, despite both a man to man and zone defense attempts, the I ads Falcons couldn't stop Spear and the score was 29 20 New Prairie. Patti Farrar was about all of Glenn's first half offense collecting nine of their 20 points I he second half was an entirely different story Shifting to a 4 man box and one zone with Spear drawing the entire efforts of the defense. the lady Falcons began to fight back Add to the success on defense, finally some shots started going in and the hustling Glenn girls took charge of the game. A big third quarter netted 28 points, all on field goals as Tammy Tuttle had six and Traci Florian added four plus giving a very fine floor game to the team effort as well. The defense held Spear scoreless in this quarter and with the big offensive push, they took the lead 48-41 and weren't challenged after gaining the lead. The final period was another big one for Glenn. 20 more points, with seven girls splitting these points while their all round hustle and hard plax pulled them to the win going away. Spear did return to the scoring column with eight more in this final stanza for a fine 29 point performance, but the team balance and strong second half gave Glenn the 68-55 victory . Tuttle hit 22 points, all from the field, for the highest Glenn total this season. Farrar added 15 and Florian 12 plus a school record 13 assists for Traci. Pam Aitken was again top rebounder pulling down 11 boards to go with her eight points. Spear's 29 came on 11 baskets and 7 of 8 from the foul line.
