S. B. JACKSON FRESHMEN TOP GLENN 44 31 The John Glenn freshmen lost their second game of the season to a strong and quick South Bend Jackson team 44-31. The Falcons were led by T<xld Cummins with eight points, hitting three of four field goals and had four rebounds. Jeff Hurford had six points, four rebounds and two assists. Barry Bottorff hit two of two free throws and had two steals. Mike Dill hit two of two free throws also, blocked two shots and had two steals. Jackson was led by West with 13 points. Barry Bottorff led the Falcons with 10 points, hitting six of seven free throws and he had three steals. Bottorff leads the team with 13 field goals, 14 free throw, is shooting 56.5 percent from the field, has seven steals and averages eight points a game. Scott Pontius scored seven points hitting three of five field goals. Mike Dill controlled the boards with four offensive and seven defensive rebounds. Todd Cummins and Jeff Hurford had two assists each. For the season Dill and Pontius have 10 offensive rebounds and Cummins has 19 defensive rebounds with Cummins and Dill averaging 4.6 boards a game. Dill also has six blocked shots and Hurford has five assists. The Falcons were led by Barry Bottorff who had a fine individual performance scoring 12 points. Bottorff hit five of six field goals, two of two free throws and had one steal. Todd Cummins had two steals, four rebounds and hit two of two from the line. Mike Dill also had four rebounds and Dan Huffstcttcr hit two of two from the line. The young Falcons had their best free throw shooting night hitting eight of 11 for 72.7 percent. The Lions had three people in double points with Greg Adams scoring 12. John Gingerich 14 and Greg Stump 10. Bremen hit 15 field goals to Glenn's nine and 17 free throws to Glenn's eight. Brcman controlled the board having twice as many rebounds as Glenn.
