Martha Young and her daughter. Sandra Youdbulis, returned home alter a 10 day vacation in Los \ngclcs. California, visiting with Sandra’s daughter. Tamara. and son. Ihomas. Lhcy had a wonder tul time and the weather was beautiful. They saw manv intersting sights including Disneyland, Universal Studios. CBS Studio and Beverly Hills. A week end in las Vegas was also enjoyed with a trip to the Hoover Dam and Calico Ghost Town. The scenery was spectacular and the trip was most enjoyable. Mrs. Leonard Beaty was injured Monday in a one-car accident coming from the LaPorte Hospital where Mr. Beaty had been admitted as a patient. Mrs. Beaty is in the intensive care unit of the I ,iPorte Hospital as a result of this accident. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hartman have returned from a 10 day trip to Las Vegas and a Caribbean cruise on the M S Skyward. They stopped at Cap Haitien, Haiti. San Juan. Puerto Rico. St Ihomas. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Plata. Dominican Republic. Mrs Hartman is the former Ona Lee Northam and they were married on October 29 in I as Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. John Clark and Mr. Cleo Clark attended a Railroad retirement party at Garrett. Indiana. on Saturday evening. Mrs. Ida Mae Watkins entertained the Mariners Club of the Presbyterian Church Sunday evening with a turkey dinner to start the evening. Co-hostesses were Mrs. Walter Johnson and Mrs. Esther lackson. Mrs. Vvlet Baker and Paul Baker were in South Bend on Saturday to attend the wedding of Mrs. Baker’s grand niece, Diane Freiser. Sunday dinner guests of Mr and Mrs. Jimmy New. Saturday evening Mrs. Viola Barden entertained her families at dinner with the honored guest being her son, Duane Barden, who has finished his boot training at the Great Lakes Naval Base. Chicago, and will soon be leaving for San Diego, California, where he will be stationed on a destroyer as a machinist. ENGAGED Mr. and Mrs. LeVoy Landesman, Rural Route 4, Walkerton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lynne, to Gary W. LaFollette. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne LaFollette, Walkerton. The bride elect graduated from John Glenn High School and attends Ancilla College. The prospective bridegroom also graduated from John Glenn High School and Vincennes University. An early fall wedding is being planned.
