TOURNEY TITLE TO GLENN GIRLS The Glenn invitational volleyball tourney was won by the Glenn girls last Saturday. The double wins raised their season record to 15 2 The games went like this, in the opening round. Knox won over Oregon-Davis bv scores of 15-8 and 15 13. Glenn then took Culver out of the first round with scores of 15-12 and 15-0. For Glenn. Julie Cline had a perfect 10 for 10 serving while Tammy futile had a quality rating

teams after the tourney read Ore-gon-Davis 11-11; Culver, 8-6; and Knox 15-4. GLENN GIRLS TOP SOUTH CENTRAL The John Glenn girls volleyball team traveled to South Central Thursday. October 9. and won their volleyball match by scores of 15-1 and 15-4. Pam Aitken was the leading server with a perfect 4 for 4 and an accuracy rating of 3.25. Barh Peacixk led the spikers with 5 kills and Aitken added 4. Traci Florian had the best passing rating of 1.6. The victory raised Glenn's record to 13-2 while South Central slipped to 1 11. The Glenn B-Team also won. coming from behind in to win by scores of 14-16, 15-11 and 15-8. Rita Schmidt was the leading server and Alma Albertsen the best passer. This raised the Glenn B's record to 7-8 for the season and South Central is 2-10. Dedicate Historical Marker At Koontz Lake Mill Site (continued from page 1) the marker which tells of the courage and strength of the pioneers of our community, we are not only establishing a spot of beauty but hope to call attention to a heritage which is ours. Mrs. Acil Hunter and Mrs. Allen Seaholm. great-great granddaughters of the elder Sam Koontz, unveiled the marker. Mrs. Hunter read the inscription: “Here in 1849 Sam Koontz born in 1814 in North hampton. Co., Pa., dammed Clear Creek forming Koontz Lake. He constructed a saw mill using water power thus created. Both dam and mill were destroyed by flood in 1K52 and again in 1858. Rebuilt as a flour mill it operated until about 1925. It was de-
