Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Dipert were hosts for a cookout at their home Saturdax evening. Those attending were Mr and Mrs. Harold Knowlton. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Eddinger. Mr. Leroy Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. David Knowlton and familx. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Dipert. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Dipert. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Dipert and familx. Miss Judx Dipert and Mrs. Alma Daube Mr. and Mrs. John Cow ger have returned from a three week trip to Phoenix. Arizona, where they visited with their son and familx and to see their new grandson. I he bride was the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bierly, Miss Diana Molden. and the groom was Darrell Johnson, both of Portage. A reception followed at the American Legion Post in Portage. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Burch and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Long will be hosts Saturday evening for the Koontz Lake Conservation Club dinner meeting, with the usual social hour follow ing. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hostetter were in Lake of the Four Seasons, near Crown Point. Sunday, as , guests of their son. Jerry, and family. This was a birthday celebration for their twin’s birthdays. Tim and Tom Hostetter. They are 1 7 years old. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oren Duthie last week were Mr. Harry Johnson. Mrs. Fannie Rhode and Mrs. Frances Holzwarth, all of Chicago.
Manx and Luke Scliga returned from a wonderful vacation spent in Wisconsin with their daughter. Donna, and her family, who live in Brookfield, a suburb of Milwaukee. While there thex watched their grandson. Davey, who is six and a half xearsold. play soccer. Davey is captain of his team and they won 4-0. It is a thrill to see those little children play, especially the two little girls on the team. Kelly, who is six years old. plaved the whole game. They also took a trip to West Bend and went through the West Bend Company and Amity 1 eather Goods. They sure got a lot of g<x>d bux s. Albert and Dorothea Brenner attended l'arco Retirees luncheon on Wednesday at Cypress Gardens, in Hinsdale. Illinois. For their program. Albert was asked to show slides of his world cruise. Mr. and Mrs. Gauthier, of Hammond; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Buckley. of East Chicago; and Miss Debbie Dickson, of Glenview. Illinois, were Wednesday guests of Mrs. Lucille Dickson, at Koontz Lake. Miss Dickson stayed overnight and returned to her home in Glenview on Thursday. Albert and Dorothea Brenner were in Richton Park. Illinois, on Thursday, to visit cousins. The occasion was to see their cousins here from Seattle. Washington. To Celebrate 40th Wedding Anniversary ' n jh Mr. and Mrs. P. C. (Doc) Norris. Walkerton, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday. October 12. at an open house at their home. They were married on October 12. 1940, in Plymouth. They have one daughter.
