Several photos ol descendants are included. Meticulously researched, the booklet contains three Indiana treaties signed by Aubbee and his son. Pau-koo-shuk. and anecdotes ol Aubbee’s participation in the War of 1812 and the siege of Fort Wayne, as well as descriptions of his family life and the woodlands he loved. Amply illustrated with photographs of the Indian village sites and rivers and springs frequented by (hiel Aubbee. the book represents years of work on the part of the author. lhe centerfold is a map of the Indian villages in Indiana and Michigan known and visited by Aubbee. Since no photo of (hies Aubbee exists, photographs not having been invented yet. drawings of the chief were made by Lee .Jennings of the Fulton County Art Colon y. Spring Motif And Slides Highlight Meeting A beautiful spring day brought 50 members of the Walkerton Community Club to the Communitv Building on Friday. April 18. Tables were attractively decorated and set for the one o’clock dessert served by the hostesses. Hostesses for the day were Ethel Bierh. chairman; Vivian Hillis. Evelyn Schmidt and Bernice Lichtenbarger. Pauline Stanley and Bess Fervcrda were substitute hostesses for Marie Atkisson and Marjorie Clarke who were unable to be there. Vivian Hillis asked the blessing and read two little verses appropriate for the spring season. Clara Dixon, chairman of International .Affairs, introduced John and Isel McCombs who brought slides of their three month trip to Alaska to show the group. Not onh were their slides breathtaking* Is beautiful, but. in narrating. Mr. McCombs gave us much interesting information about the State of Alaska. Their trip began on the

Members pledged allegiance to our Hag and sang one verse ot God Bless America. Ruth Bobbe presented inspiring devotions. She reminded us that happiness is a state of mind and closed by requesting a moment ol silent prayer for our hostages in Iran. Iwo members of the club. Bettv Griffin and Caroline Newell, who passed away this year, were paid a lovely tribute by Marge Curl. She read a beautiful prayer of thanksgiving to God for releasing them from their earthly cares. Evelyn Schmidt, distributed leaflets to the ladies describing what we should and shouldn't do to curb inflation. Lhe leaflets, a project of the G.F.W.C. after being signed, will be sent to our nation's leaders in Washington. Reservations for the club lunch
