Lady Falcons (continued from page one) girls coming out with a lot more intensity. They evidently were aware that they were going to be playing the rest of the way without Huffstetter, and with their press putting pressure on the Plymouth team on various occasions, they took complete control of the game as the Plymouth girls simply went completely cold for the entire third quarter. Traci Florian tied the score with one of two from the line and Farrar hit a fast break lay-in at the b:O2 mark for a lead that was never again lost. Tuttle put a rebound up and in from the side and at the 3:37 mark. Simpson hit Plymouth’s only basket of the quarter as shot after shot just kept missing, sometimes very badly. Glenn picked up seven more points after this to move to an apparently safe 25-16 lead after three with Plymouth as cold as could be. The Glenn girls kept the pressure on the Pilgrimettes in the fourth period and appeared to be running away with the game. Tuttle hit first, and after Carol Adams hit a 12 footer. Pam Aitken scored from seven foot. Skiles hit for Plymouth and after Adams added two free throws, Pavey hit one of two

for Glenn. The Pilgrimettes then pulled to within six as Debbie Nelson hit a 10 footer from the baseline, but Pavey countered with a rebound lay-in as her size was a deciding factor under the boards. Simpson hit a pair of one-pointers, but Pavey took a very nice pass from Florian for another uncontested lav-in. Farrar hit one of two free ones and Pavey then scored again on a rebound shot as an 11 point lead was enjoyed. 37-26. With time now becoming a big factor, Plymouth did get another basket to fall from Skiles, but Aitken and Pavey came right back with close-in shots for a 41-28 lead with 2:45 left in the game. It took almost a minute for Balke to score for Plymouth on a rebound shot, and really nothing else happened until the clock ticked inside of one minute. At the :58 second mark. Balke scored again and coach Barb Osowski. put some of her reserves in getting some justified playing time. However, the cold shooting Pilgrimettes then put on a rush that included only one basket but five of six from the free throw line where they are good, but really tightened things up. Wojcik hit a pair of foul shots with :41 seconds left, the Glenn girls still leading 41-34. However, at the 22 second mark, Adams was fouled an hit the first of two but the second
was rebounded by Wojcik and put back up and in making it 41-37 with : 19 seconds left. With just 10 seconds left on the clock, a Glenn player was fouled and moved to the free throw line only to miss and have a foul committed on the rebound, sending Simpson to the line for Plymouth with :10 showing. At this point back in came all the regulars for Glenn but Simpson hit both shots to trim the lead to two. Then on the inbounds, a batted ball was retrived by Plymouth and two very short shots that could have tied the game were missed and a jump ball resulted at the :02 mark. Florian tried to bat the ball away from everyone but Balke did get the ball, only not able to get a good possession for a shot and after fumbling around took a desperation shot that was late anyway with Glenn holding on for a slim 41-39 lead. In the final 2:45, Glenn didn't score at all and Plymouth rallied with nine points in the last 58 seconds plus an early basket for the final 11 points of the game. Pavey led the scorers for Glenn with 12 points, nine coming in the final stanza, much after Plymouth's center, Buchanan, fouled out. The size advantage was really the difference for Pavey under the basket. Tuttle ended with 10. all from the floor and Farrar had nine for Glenn. Plymouth's points were well spread, but they have no good scorer to lead them. Simpson had 8, six coming from the line, with Wojcik, a good looking freshman, also getting eight on three baskets and two free throw s.
