NORTH LIBERTY WRESTLERS WIN CONFERENCE TITLE I he North Liberty wrestlers went to New Prairie Saturday for the Northern State Conference tournament and returned the champions. I he wrestlers also went undefeated during the dual meet season. This is the third year in a row that the matmen have ended the season as number one in the conference. Ihe grapplers had scoring from nine poeple to outpoint second place New Prairie and third place LaVille. The complete point rundown by teams was: North Liberty 152*4, New Prairie 140‘/i. LaVille 139 W, Triton 102. Fairfield 52.

Glenn 50' i. Culver 43 and Jimtown 31. North Liberty wrestlers who won championships were Lennie Stanfield. 100 pounds; Tim Vandcrheyden. 132 pounds; Lonnie Shetler, 145 pounds; Steve Shonkwiier. 1 7 7 pounds; and Dave Wunder. 185 pounds. This was the second straight conference championship for Lonnie Shetler.
